Part of the problem is that everyone thinks it is cool to hate on EA.
The other part of the problem (at least in regards to this website), is that N4G seems to just hate loot games in general, especially anything that can possibly be compared to Destiny.
I played my ten hour trial on Xbox, had no bugs, and the load times are not bad at all.
No it wasn't a short film.
It was a trailer for a movie or show that apparently doesn't exist.
I don't get what the point of it was, honestly.
Random scenes thrown together and no freaking idea at all what is happening or who anyone is... I just don't get it at all.
I mean it LOOKED sweet, and if there was a longer story that this was cut from I would certainly watch it, but as a standalone product...
Or because they enjoy the games and want to play another one.
It's not like they have stopped selling the game and this is the "end result."
I don't see a problem because I love games like this. lol
I've put about 2500 hours into Destiny and Destiny 2, and expect I'll put a whole lot into Anthem as well. :)
Same reason people play Diablo.
Some people like that style of game.
Don't waste your time. The vast majority of people on this site hate everything that isn't Sony.
You deleted a demo that was over and could never be played ever again, because you played a game of an entirely different genre that is not related in any way?
Cool Story.
Wait a minute, why does it give you ANY customization at all?? Nobody ever sees your pilot, including yourself, as far as I'm aware.
When you are in town, you are in First person, and there are no other players there. The cutscenes remain in first person as well.
When you aren't in town, you're in your Javelin.
I don't know when anyone would ever see your character's face at all...?
How is it implemented in those games, though?
If it enters everyone into matchmaking together then it should be used every single Fortnite match.
That is how it SHOULD be, but if it doesn't work that way, then of course it isn't "widely used" yet. Give it time, jeez.
Sorry I had a drastically different experience than what you guys had. I played both weekends of the demo. Probably put about 40 hours into it, honestly. lol
I loved it. Yeah there were some bugs, but I have no reason to doubt that they will be fixed in the final product.
The demo was pulled out and put together like 2 months ago, there have been a ton of changes to the real game since then.
If you don't like it, you don't l...
Well, Anthem is freaking spectacular, so I'd say it should probably do ok.
Not this one.
I don't have any reason to hate them like so many other people seem to.
You don't lose your loot even if the game crashes or kicks you out.
It just isn't rewarded until you get to an "end of expedition" screen.
So even if you crashed at the end of a mission 10 times in a row, all you have to do is enter freeplay and then immediately go back to town and it would award you all of your loot.
Not sure how it will work in the full game but that is how it was in the demo. You weren't "...
I think they delivered just fine.
The game is exactly what it looked like it was going to be.
A piece of crap.
Text chat in a console shooter seems like a horrible idea. I don't understand why people want this.
I think the frequency and variety of the world events will make quite a difference.
I was way more entertained just roaming around in free play and doing whatever popped up than I ever have been in Destiny, and I've played a LOT of Destiny.
Nothing is going to make everyone happy, but as a huge Destiny fan, I was super happy with what they showed me. The Stronghold was fun and definitely very replayable, and just roaming around in free play with othe...
Thank God. lol
Yeah I probably put 30 hours into the demo weekends, and another 10 last weekend via EA Access, and I still can't freaking wait for tomorrow night when it goes live and I can play more.
