Yeah, darn that 'Grammer'. I submitted this and went a bit dyslexic on the title. It got approved before I could fix it. It's been reported to the mods. Take a chill pill. :p
I hear you, but how is Resident Evil 3D that looks somewhere between Resident Evil 4 and 5, and in 3D or Super Street Fighter 4 along the same lines not a core Experience in 3rd Party games? This is about 'cutting edge' vs. 'pretty damned good with a neat little gimmick'. Both will have great 3rd party support. It will come down to first party games, and individual choice of whether or not 3D is important to you or top of the line tech is important to you, and the market is no...
The safety warning pertains to children under 6 with the idea that their eyes are still developing. After Nintendo gave the warning, Doctors came out and said that it was o.k. and possibly even beneficial. So there are arguments on both sides. The only things Teenagers and Adults need to be aware of with this system is that it can cause headaches and/or motion sickness depending on how an individual takes to augmented reality.
In a world where unfortunately game are rushed through, then patched to death, yet gamers accept it, it just may be true that Japanese developers 'take too long'.
Not really a comparison at all. You should read it.
Is every 3DS article on N4G's comments section going to be like this now? PSP2 anticipators finding any reason to tell other people to make the same choice as them? How annoying...
I don't think it's over. The PSP2 will do alright I'm sure. But we all suspect that it will be quite expensive, and in the end its biggest draw is that it is a powerful machine. That should be the big compliment to the device, not the main draw imo.
Not really on the Wii.
Personally I'm hoping for 3DS ports. But if they can make more money by porting it to the HD consoles now that they have motion control, then power to them.
klado, you are the one that doesn't quite get it. Take a game like 'The Last Story' for instance. Because it was on Wii, a decent amount of monetary resources meant a huge, good looking game for that system and its gamers. With that amount of money spent, you can't do the same things on a more powerful system. Of course The Last Story could have been released as is on an HD console, but no one would buy it. People would resent it and claim that blah blah blah is better because...
How is 'The same thing with 3D' inferior to 'The same thing in higher resolution'? What hypocrisy...
The problem isn't that people don't see that. It's true. The problem is that some people don't realize the same thing about the 3DS. If you can afford both, great. If you can only afford one, choose what works best for you. No reason to look down on the other hand held. That's absurd.
I don't really know what the critics have said. I do know though that $250 is expensive, and if the PSP2 costs more than that, price will be the biggest factor to the mass market.
PSP2 sales will depend on the price. The 3DS is already steep and receiving complaints. The initial price point for the PSP2 will determine quite a bit. Times are tough, and for the mass market, sacrifices will have to be made to purchase these machines.
One of my biggest issues with this game was that landing exactly where you wanted to was often hard to do. The 3DS should/would end that problem. If they tweaked/modernized the camera on the game, it would be a day one purchase for me as well.
Why is this a 'Polarizing' issue? If you've played it and don't want to buy it again, don't. Having an attitude of 'That shouldn't exist because I'm done with it!' is just ridiculous.
The success of the Wii didn't take away from Sony or Microsoft's success. If anything it helped add to it by expanding the market of people who play video games. I think that this situation is similar, and at least for the next few years we'll simply see an expansion of the gamer market. Though we are getting to a point where we may start seeing the term 'Premium gaming', and the stigma of Nintendo/Sony/Microsoft product being inherently expensive due to other very cheap, ...
I'm going to have to check this book out. Nice interview.
No offense to Nintendogs, but I'm not interested in owning that title. I'm also not purchasing a submarine game before I get a chance to play it and see if I like it.
While I understand that they are trying to give other publishers a chance to shine at release, personally, all I'm truly interested in day one is Super Street Fighter 4, which is another that I'll have to confirm works well for me to buy. I definitely want this thing, but it's getting a bit ...
Well said. People can have a preference without hating or deriding the other options out there. People should make the purchases that work best for them, be happy about it, and leave it at that.
