Speculating over this is pointless. Its another game, if its good, its good, if its not, we move on.
FF8 and FF9 were made within 1 year of each other, and they turned out fantastic, its a matter of being efficient, which they seem to be this time around.
It still doesnt give them the right to bite the hand that feed, and supported them. Thats low, dishonorable.

This is a hardcore RPG. Not a cinematic experience or streamlined for the softcore of this generation.
