To me a hardcore gamer is someone that wants a steady flow of challenging games. Games that require a certain level of skill to enjoy. When you complete a hardcore game you feel a certain level of accomplishment because of the effort you put in to develop those skills. They are complex and not games you bring to a party, unless you are going to a party full of gamers.

With LIVE you get a slightly nicer interface.
Keep in mind these services have the same annual cost. If you can't understand which one is clearly better then I'm sorry I can't help you make a decision.

No it's not. Premium is $10/month, basic is $4/month. You must use a card to pay as well. I used to have the premium sub and it was awesome for the Vita.
Yeah or even a 50% discount would be nice. I doubt it will happen anytime soon.
I'm glad I got into Starhawk. All DLC will be free and the game has gotten 2 good balance updates in the past 2 weeks. I think I will wait till there is a sale before getting the new BF3 expansions.
If you live in the US then the Vita is a must buy. The price is very low here, and this week you get a $50 gift card when you buy either model at Target.

I like this game overall. The single player is fun. The mp has balance issues, but still way better than anything else available on handhelds.
