When they expressed their intention to have a Call of Duty-like success, who would think they actually wanted to get this close to CoD?

QTE non-sense in RE4, super-marine Chris and stupid DLC plans in RE5, now regenerating health, barrel rolls and stunts? What's next? Super-powers? Infinite ammos? Energy shields?

Even the least scary yet one of the most popular zombie game of this generation, Left 4 Dead, had a decent ammo / health system.

I ask who is Felicia Day and you tell me blablabla Cliff blablabla Hideo blablabla I don't like good games blablabla and still don't answer the question.

Peter Mollyneux keep being insulted all over the web, and nobody cares. David Jaffe is considered as the biggest loudmouth of the industry, and nobody cares. Everyone mocks Reggie Fils-Aime every time he opens the mouth, but nobody cares.

And when a woman, a woman without ANY impact in the video game...

Who is Felicia Day for the gaming industry, anyway?

A success in term of technology, a failure in term of support.
Now Sony has to focus on that gaming glove they patented few years ago, THIS can be a real game-changer.

Ninja Gaiden, of course. Perfectly designed games with a perfect measure of difficulty (I don't count Ninja Gaiden 3, it's not a game, it's a turd).

Ninja Gaiden is the perfect example of how we can combine great level-design, good scenario, smooth animations, exemplary replay value, deep gameplay, sweet visuals and perfectly balanced difficulty.

Because a game turns on this or that engine doesn't mean it will be a good game, nor a beautiful one.

Unreal Engine 3, for example. Gears of War 2, Bulletstorm or Batman: Arkham City / Asylum are absolutely gorgeous, while Duke Nukem: Forever, Legendary and Section 8 are also UE3 games, and yet they are far from being stellar.

The single Engine argument is not sufficient to guarantee a quality game.

With an easy game, you don't get the satisfaction of ending a game. You don't feel being superior. You don't feel being skilled. You just feel having some kind of entertainment.

Hard games is the best way to reward gamers. They must feel confident, then they must be spanked and when the pain of humiliation is picking them, they will evolve. They will learn how to deal with certain situations and they will create their own tactics.

And when finishi...

Dragonball series. It's not originally a video game, but its adaptions are endless, from NES to Kinect, there must have been at least one DBZ game on every gaming platform. Unfortunately, the quality of the franchise tend to significantly decrease.

Wow, do you seriously think they can actually do a decent Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive game without their creator? NO. WAY.

They did even worse with Saints Row 3. "Hey guys, here's the season pass. You pay for it and you will have DLCs for free, but we will also release DLCs not included in the season pass, so if you want them, you'll have to pay too."

That's low for sure, but this is not new. Capcom does that since age with Street Fighter series or Marvel vs Capcom 3, Ubisoft did that too with Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and Revelations, Codemasters did it with DiRT Showdown...

So far, the only fair guys is saw this gen regarding expansions are Rockstar with GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption expansions, as they were sold as standalones for a cheap price.

EA are screwing Dead Space the same way the screwed Mass Effect. They want to squeeze more from successful new IPs to make them more appealing to the masses, completely ignoring their original fanbase.

Honestly, if you have a PS2 or a Gamecube, look for Timesplitters 2 or Timesplitters 3: Future Perfect. They're even better than you can imagine.

Precisely. The great quality of Silent Hill series is the fear of what you don't see and the horror of what you may see. The more there is action, the less it is Silent Hill.

A Diablo-like Silent Hill? Sure it sounds fun, but fun is not what we're looking for. Give to Resident Evil any day, but keep Silent Hill the way it must be: a game that gives you nightmares, not a game that gives you pop corn.

Alice: Madness Returns was precisely what I was expecting from it. Same qualities, same flaws as American McGee's Alice: old school platform / action game with awesome level-design, good dubs but few bugs and rigid animations.

It's not the greatest game of all time, but it's still worth it. A really good experience and nothing like a disappointment for me.

There is a slight difference between a great quality fighting game with a varied roster and realistic physics, and a broken short game about a cheerleader that keep showing her panties just for the hits.

Comparing Dead or Alive and Lollipop Chainsaw is like comparing respectively a beautiful woman and a prostitute.

My point was to highlight people saying that gamers are ready for real mature games and stories, the same people that drool over some boob flashin...

This article and those comments only prove that gaming is still adolescent and isn't going to be adult anytime soon.
