Socom is a different mechanic than the arcade style War shooters u see out there, I think its fantastic.
The bullets whizzing by you, making whistling sounds...
You can see the smoke trails of gun fire when ur close to your enemy...
You shoot a car in the map, the car heaves like something hit it...
Its the little things that count and the realism in this game is stepped up a notch than most shooters...
And by the way...
The only people who are gimped are those who cant get laid in the real world. So they think the only integrity they have left is to be extreme fanboys with a knowledge base equaling that of a pile of crap.

My friend buy an Xbox360 from Best Buy and the power source was defunt...apparently its a common problem. Apparently the 360's have a lot of common problems....hehehee

I think these dummies forget that one bonus side to have DISC-BASED games is that u can sell them after ur done or trade them. How the hell you supposed to do that with digital downloads? Unless someone figures out a hack to have games run on any machine despite ip/login.

I have been playing fps since quake, its not all that. sick of hearing about halo. its a good fps, not a classic. its just because so many xbox heads bought it people think its legendary. Quantity doesnt make quality. Anyone who knows anything realizes this...the rest are followers of fodder.
I hate third person made first person shooters. GOW2 is gonna be pretty but annoying.
I think most people are worried the game will be "dumbed down" so to speak because it will be coming out on Xbox. Take a look at all the Sony exclusives on ps3, they look different than Xbox games. They are a notch higher in graphics and presentation. I fear as well that final fantasy XIII will suffer the same unless they really did develop it on PS3 first, then worked on Xbox 2nd.
I dont even put the Wii in the same league as the Xbox or the PS3. Its a toy and it caters to kids. So why bother comparing the sales of them with other consoles.
Um when I buy a product, I buy it based on its current state of affairs...with full confidence. If it is a stellar product that fits my needs, done deal, I am sold.

Is better than your generic dull HALO and GTA4
Overall I applaud them for the graphics engine. Way clearer textures than any other war based fps. The audio fx are amazing. Best realistic gun shot sounds ever (I have fired a few guns in my lifetime). The gunplay is a lil bit ackward, not as comfortable and tight as COD4. But this offers a different dimension, considering the vehicles and the sandbox type gameplay...overall its fun. But its not going to replace your favorite FPS. It is worth a glance when it comes out. I will probably end u...
