But we wall know your one of new breed of sad 360 trolls that simply pretend to own a PS3 so they can continually post how 'desperately disappointed' they are and how they are going to sell their machine. It's not like your full posting history is not there for any of us to check with a couple of clicks! People - plerase check out this guys contributions and see for your self. I trust most of you will see the way to deal with these fools is to remove their bubbles and ensure they can't clutte...

I think they consider it unfair because they got 'caught'! :)

Hell- thats a rough review if ever I saw one. :)

I've not played the full game so I can't tell if its justified, but I'm one of the few who actually enjoyed the demo despite its 'rough edges' and had expected around a 7.5 based on what I saw.

Seeing as how I often disagree with the mainstream, and certainly don't base my opinion on reviewers (my favorite games are often hammered, whilst utter trash is routinely praised), I'm likely to try this one for myself, des...

Well you'll be waiting a really long time then...

Peter's company was bought by Microsoft some time ago, and he is one of the few first party devs that Microsoft has in is arsenal. It will be a cold day in hell before you see one of peters titles on another platform

Whilst I'm pleased to see someone pushing what the WII is capable off, they really don't do themselves any favors by trying to invite comparisons with the more tech heavy consoles.
Viewed by itself as a WII engine, the quantum 3 tech demo looks OK. Compare it with what the 360 or PS3 is doing though and it it looks decidedly last gen.

WII games are not competing with the 360, and shouldn't try to. The developers should simply make the best looking games they can on the...

If you didn't write such a retarded article, and actually had a point to make instead of the flawed logic thats on display, maybe you'd get some credit and a reasoned discussion.

But writing of that caliber deserves to be slagged off.

Er... because some us don't restrict ourselves to running around shouting 'BOO ya!' and shooting each other in the head all the time.

Some people, and I'm one of them, enjoy diversity in our gaming, and that means I'm happy to play titles that are a little bit different and will happily play Everybody's golf, or Singstar, or Eye of Judgment AS WELL as running around shooting people in the head.

As you can see form the responses in this thread, I'm not the only on...

Dungeon Keeper 2 was my baby - though I've got credits on a lot of stuff you mentioned :)
It was tragedy that EA destroyed Bullfrog - one of my fave developers, and I realized a dream by working for them.

When you find one, marry her!

I know I did :)

Anyone sharing my life has to like games.
Unfortunately, she beats me at Guitar hero...
She's got here own PSP and DS, so we can play multiplayer together and she's not tying them up when I need em..

You're probably right mate - but honestly if you saw how much of the budget they spent, and how little they actually understood the games, you'd also get pretty ticked off with them! :)

I remember in particular, that when I was at Bullfrog and we were 'absorbed' by E.A. they stopped us from making Dungeon Keeper 3, despite the fact we'd just won all sorts of awards for DK 2! It was because EA marketing couldn't understand the concept, it was 'cross genre' so they didn't know ho...

@ ItsDubC - thank you for link. There are some interesting statistics.

But I think you need to examine them further. There are a great number of third party titles available and not nearly so many first party titles. 50% (or 60%) of software sales for third parties looks like a decent haul until you split that up among the number of titles available! Similarly, 50% for Nintendo's first party titles shows how much of the pie each individual title has when you consider there's co...

I have to agree. The sales of WII have been phenomenal, but 3rd party games are not flying off the shelves. I
think Capcom will seriously regret putting so much dev effort into the WII as a platform and this will be reflected in their business results. If they concentrated on the other 'tech heavier' platforms, they would likely sell more actual units of software and be a profitable company.

I hope it doesn't affect them too badly in the long run, or that they prove us ...

Sorry, I never thought of posting it elsewhere and simply didn't keep it! I've been working freelance for a few years now and when I'm between contracts (like now) I have too much time on my hands and spend far too much of it posturing on this site and running a few sites I'm administrator on! :)
Its hard to believe I care enough to bother writing, but it does keep me amused - my wife tells me I spend almost as much time being a 'keyboard warrior' as I do playing games! I'm worried she...

Yeah - I enjoyed it too and will pick up anothere version for sure.
But even with the best will in the world, its pulling power to your average gamer is a bit limited!

The guy seems to be little out of the loop with the news? Its confirmed that Alan Wake is not coming this year, so its inclusion with a question mark is plain wrong.

I personally don't care how you weigh it up, this is a brilliant year to be a gamer, and real games fans with both these platforms...

Bruce is the single biggest idiot in the gaming blog world, and his self assured pseudo intellectual smuggness, is a mirror of the same personality traits I've seen in most of the Games company marketeers throughout the years. Its the reason those of us do the nuts and bolts work of making a game, will never mix with the self important tossers who go on to sell it and act like they know something.

I know I'm gonna disagree with his articles almost before I click them.

Hooray - it seems you are older than me! At 44 I thought I might be pushing my luck to expect older, but I'm glad I'm not.
Maybe we can reminise of iron core memory when you could see each bit being clocked through the memory by watching the cores move up or down? Or filling in 'punch cards' and then posting them, to indicate your next move in a game of chess with a university computer, I used to wait a week, then get the return move! They were days.... :)

Second thought...

Much better thanks!! :)

..and yes at 37 the guy is just a pup! I hope you are older than me - I'd rather not be the oldest here. I was kicking and screaming in 64.

Tell me you were around before then, please! :)

Or like myself?

I too was old enough to be drinking in pubs when the original space invaders machines launched. I've played and owned everything since.

I've got nothing against the 360 and own and use mine regularly. But I prefer the PS3 - as do most of my old gaming crowd, who are all old gamers who were pretty 'mad for it!'

Its only my experience mind you - but based on that, you are wrong and just trying to troll....

Way to spin and not actually read the article.

Its a survey of teens only.

No indication that the results would be any different for an older audience at all, so you can't imply that. Its simply an insight into the teen mind.

You assertion therefore that the PS3 owner is younger,is based on fresh air and fantasy - sorry, but you could not derive that from this report.
I rather suspect the opposite is true as price is more of an issue for y...

Chart track are UK only.
GFK is the german equivalent and can provide data for only a handful of countries.

Both are indeed respected tracking companies and are 'NPD equivalents'. Neither of them have made any up to date figures available.

Even if up to date figures were available from these two companies, they cover only half of the territory at best and there are no similarly respected numbers for the other countries not covered by the two noted above. ...
