I can see our local retailers here buying from Hong Kong and/or Singapore and then selling the PS4 here for an arm and a leg.
Remember this is shipment numbers not sold to customers. They have to keep stock for the retailers as well.
Also the 3DS only had a bad start because of the price and drought of games. Once that was over it was like sell, sell and sell.
Too much obsession with Titanfall for the X1 when its available for the 360 and PC.
Yes, MS platforms (OS for the PC) but you do not need to buy an X1 to enjoy Titanfall.
Swing and a hit. lol!
Soul successor to Panzer Dragoon :D
Interesting, this would be the first time I can remember the Asian release of a console would come first before the Japanese release.
Well we can clearly see the strength of MS when it comes to software programming and Sony when it comes to hardware manufacturing. This generation showed that to us.
What's important is that the weaknesses of the 360 and PS3 is now being tackled with the X1 and PS4.
Yes, we can assume its for Remote Play purposes.
Everything you just wrote there was a punch in the gut. >_<
May I also add that they never localized Sakura Taisen 1-4 during the heyday of the franchise.
"...Sega doesn’t exactly have an excellent track record for localizing its niche titles. We can only hope that Atlus and especially Atlus USA will influence Sega on that front, instead of the other way around."
I hope so too but that track record is just hard to ignore. :<
Exactly, whats even worse is that VCIII actually sold a little better than VCII in Japan but we never got any localization.
They sent us Yakuza: The End (Dead Souls) which wasn't exactly what a lot of us was looking for and they are not planning the localization of Yakuza 5, which a lot of us is anticipating.
I cannot even remember how many Shinning games that got stuck in Japan.
Now they have Atlus and the Shin Megami Tensai series which...
Well the good news is, Atlus will remain in 3rd party hands. The bad news is Sega has a track record of either killing their popular franchises or not localizing them. So I am both happy and worried about this outcome.
If MS owns the IP then they should definitely do it.
Lost Odyssey 2 would be awesome.
Even during the height of JRPGs. Popular titles like Sakura Taisen, Suikoden, Breath of Fire, Wild Arms, Valkyrie Profile, Tales of, Shin Megami Tensai and many more, never made the one million mark. The majority of the sales of course are in Japan.
I believe a lot of people never realized that JRPG sales shrinkage was never because the west stopped buying them but in actuality its the Japanese market moving away from the consoles and going more into the handheld market that ...
If they localize this. Then there is no excuse not to localize Type-0.
^You would be surprise on the number of people who actually buys a console and never plays or use it for online purposes. Also most of these gamers are the ones who purchases the console near the tail end of its life cycle when the price have become way affordable.
For us who have easy access and can afford internet on a monthly basis, this may sound illogical but it happens with different reasons too.
^^taking the X1 patch out of context? You realize if there was no patch for the X1 you will not be able to play the console outside of the supported 13 territories it is currently launching on.
You talk about double standards and yet you play the same card by blowing out of proportion a feature on the PS4 that the great majority of gamers will not use in their life time, while down playing the significance of the X1 patch. Nicely made statements does not cover who you really ...
When there are people who continues to grasp for straws, everything and anything can be a negative thing.
That's exactly the point. The digital age is coming. There was no needs for the planned DRM. That would btw, if people have forgotten. Would only allow the X1 to function on selected countries.
So if you are not part of those territories, you can't import the console because it will not work. How can that be the future of gaming?
I will never understand how those DRMs can ever be justifiable. I for one, am very glad they got rid of it and is hopeful n...
Yes sir, it is. Its the successor to Panzer Dragoon after all which is an on-rail shooter classic ^^
