It's not surprising. According to new evidence and Sony's own testament they have been working on the Move a lot longer then then Microsoft has been working on the Kinect. Sony has had a long time to perfect and adjust their motion control while Microsoft still can't seem to make the Kinect work the way it is supposed to yet. It definately is a precision instrument. I was on Gamespot listen to them talk about how effortly it works with game R.U.S.E. Even if it doesn't destroy the Wii or sells as many as the Kinect, it is definately going to be added to my PS3 this September.

That means that they could have had the idea and design for motion control even before the eyetoy was introduced.So even if Nintendo brought out the Wii-mote before the modern day Move Sony was still working on theirs before Nintendo which reflects in it's superior design and the fact that it does what the Wii-mote was supposed to do from the get go. Seeing that Sony had the idea before Nintendo did they have had a chance to learn from Nintendo's mistakes and improve on their tech. So technically Nintendo didn't trump Sony at all. They just gave Sony a chance to make their product better and do what the Wii was supposed to do when it was first introduced.

Why disagree? Nintendo and Sony came up with original names that don't even match anything close to their devices and Microsoft just happens to find a name that is similar to an Eyetoy motion control game? Wow.
