It's just the new term to hate, it used to be SJW, BLM, LGTBQ +, the ACLU, NAACP, or HBCU.
There's no logic to why they reject what these things stand for, it's just rejection, DEI and Woke are just new terms to hate in order to justify what they've always done.
And I wonder what percentage of the hate comes from people who actually game.
For example: I used to follow my favorite NHL team on Twitter. They've had pride night for over a decade. Last year all followers were decided by accounts that had never interacted with hockey fans before. It was weird. I would guess most have never even watched a game.
