@littletad: I think what you mean to say is to use cloud storage on PSN each account has to have a subscription to PlayStation Plus. Only PS+ accounts can use cloud storage.

On Xbox One however one account with a Xbox Live subscription will grant any account on the same Xbox One to use cloud storage.

But either way neither PlayStation Plus nor Xbox Live are required to backup save data to USB storage.

Nintendo is set to deliver cloud st...

That’s a stretch at best.

In either situation Sony is not donating anything. What is happening is Sony is taking a cut of the sale from PSN purchases. So they’re making profit on a charitable item in this instance. Sony COULD drop the portion they take in favor of helping the developers and publisher, not a charity.

Blizzard would then effectively donate the part Sony didn’t take. Blizzard would still be doing 100% donation unless Sony required Blizzard t...

Have done and are doing are two very different things.

Plus justifying Sony using such a tactic then attempting to throw Microsoft to the wolves doesn’t work. That is nothing more than a pot, kettle situation. However in this instance again, there would be a rather large difference in participating in these tactics in the past and participating in those tactics now as that’d insinuate Microsoft was using a shady tactic it dropped while Sony picked it up.

They’d also have been one of the first on that list to have such a policy. The only one potentially longer is Nintendo. 🤨

That paywall only applies to one account on Xbox One. Only one account on the system needs to be subscribed to Xbox Live for cloud saves to apply to any account on the same system.

PSN cloud saves only apply to Plus subscribers.

Congratulations. You successfully showed why the model isn’t as lucrative as you’d believe.

Because resources to produce products don’t come from nowhere.

If Nintendo is allocating more money to mobile development where is that money coming from? It’s an easy answer too as Nintendo doesn’t produce multiple products in different categories.

A GameStop rep I talked to two weeks ago said as much. Apparently Sony only sent out so many then once they were gone they were gone. He was less than enthused about just how limited Sony made it for such a big release.

What GT game has ever been on more than one console or space at a time?

If it launches for PS5 it will not be available on PS4 nor PS4 Pro. That would require either capping a product to PS4 specs that then would be far less impressive on PS5 or a stripped down experience on PS4 and Pro.

Then if both of the above turn out to be not true it would insinuate PS5 is destined to be weak and a small upgrade over even a base PS4. It’d be like a Pro version of th...

@blackblades: Xbox One S has a 4K Blu-Ray drive in it as well and costs less than a base PS4.

So if we roll with your logic did the removal or disinclusion of said drive bump the price of the PS4? I suppose their time considering adding the drive is why the PS4 is priced the way it is. Sony employees charging more for less because they have to get a bonus.

I play the PS4 version and can state for a fact tens of thousands play multiplayer at any time typically. The last I knew the same was also true for Xbox One. That’s just multiplayer, not zombies or other modes.

Backwards compatibility itself doesn’t seem to take a load but enhancing 360 titles does. Not really a surprise since better texture filters and in cases resolution bumps along with framerate bumps occur.

Also keep in mind post backwards compatibility patches have came. Titles like Red Dead Redemption, Grand Theft Auto IV, and Black Ops II saw patches after going to Xbox One specifically for Xbox One owners.

Right? Like those exclusives available only on Windows platforms with Xbox One X enhancements?

One could also argue that even if the content is old the enhancements available on Xbox One and One X are exclusives when it comes to next gen consoles.
