Depends. They remade Pikmin 1 and 2 for the Wii with motion controls so you could give those a try seeing they are cheap. I've only played the Gamecube version of Pikmin and it was fun. :)

The Gamecube version is infinitely superior. Try again. The Wii version is still worth buying though. And hey you can try and find the Gamecube version and play that on the Wii too.
I think it's just an HD loader so it will only work with BC PS3s. Only time will tell though.
Those patents are for emulating the PS2 CPU on the PS3. Sony already uses that patent for the EU 60Gb model and US 80Gb BC model. Both these models still had the PS2 GPU in them to have BC. I really doubt Sony wants to give us a PS2 emulator really. That's why they are making these collections.

The battery can be internal and still be serviceable. I guess you need to disassemble a Wii remote to change the batteries eh?
Besides even for the DS3 you can change the battery if need be. Sony provides instructions on how and you can order replacements. Cellphones also don't have bulky battery packs at the back and are replaceable. MS should do the same. The current design has the battery compartment in a very awkward place.

I don't see why you have to pay extra and they didn't include Ethernet by default though. Nor why they don't support a lot of wireless Standards asking you to buy a special adapter for your PC. I don't have that issue as my router can do any standard i want it to but i see why someone would be pissed.
