Nintendo has always been games for children, and there's nothing wrong with that. The last Nintendo product that I have is the GameCube, and it will remain that way.
Home consoles, or hand-helds?..
I start a game and will not play anything else until I finish it. Also, I never leave a game unfinished, even if I don't like it. I do not care about getting all the collectables and trophies though.
I couldn't agree more. I usually VR when everyone is gone. I set my phone on my leg so I can feel it vibrate if I get a call... Though it scares the shit out of me when someone comes home and taps me. More than once I've screamed like a little girl. Lol
I'm not seeing it. In one game you run into an area, enemies spawn and you smash the shit out them, then run to the next are where more enemies get put to the slaughter. (Now I have to go home and play more God of War)
In the other game you spend most of your time stealthily planning your routes of attack and avoidance. Being low key is key. Fighting only when need be.

I will say this... As a Husband and a Father, VR is something I very rarely do. As awesome as it is, I still need to be available in the real world. With the headset on, headphones covering my ears, I'm essentially not in the real world. If my phone is ringing, or someone needs to ask me something or show me something they have to tap me to get my attention. Then off come the phones and headset. It's annoying to me, and those I live with. VR will never be my go to for gaming.

Anyway, I must be really lucky because I have never had a noise issue if I keep my console clean. I'm very thorough. I start by unhooking the console and taking a toothpick to every vent hole. It's to much to describe everything but I remove the hard drive and everything. My console is silent, even when paying God of War.

You might need to clean your console. Mine stays silent when I play games, including God of War. I clean mine as soon as it makes noise.
I feel ya raW... I have a deal with my family where I don't buy games after September so they can get me games for Christmas. I'll be impatiently waiting, and avoiding info.
