Sony's games are looking better year on year, something that can't be said for the 360 or Wii. When Wii and 360 gamers buy a second console, who do you think they're going to choose?
Are the Noobs going to buy a failure box and pay $40 a year to play online across their noobish dialup?

The PS3 is future proof. Wi-fi, blu-ray, advanced processing and graphical ability.
But the 360 is a gimped low cost tart in a miniskirt. But when you lift that skirt and get down to business, you are hit with disapppointment and remorse.
M$ can't release a blu-ray 360 because they can't alienate their 40 million current users. That means they either have to make do with old gen hardware or launch the 720.
I'm thinking they'll go with the former.

Games like Alan Wake don't sell. Certainly not in enough numbers to make back the investment.
Make it a FPS, then it'll sell on the chav box.

Games like heavy rain and alan wake are what this generation of consoles were made for.
The graphics look terrible, bioshock and gears look better.
And uncharted 2 and heavy rain look even better still.
