The PS2 was never well behind 2 consoles for 2 years. in fact, the only console that sold better than it AT ALL in the same generation was discontinued ~ a year after PS2 launched.
this week?
@below. I see about 2 a day for each game when I look places other than here. Of course, those are actually stories, not posts of wallpapers.

5. DOA
6. Splinter Cell
7. Age of Conan

If you don't actually look at what's coming in 09. Chances are you just look at what's being talked about in the news, and that's almost always games coming in the next 3 months. Look a little, it's got about the same amount of games coming PS3 does.
"Halo 3 = ran well, no problems there, but it was barely a visual/audio upgrade compared to halo 2 on the original xbox"
go play halo 2 again, then play halo 3. The game looks a lot better. It doesn't look as good as a lot of stuff, but it's a lot better than halo 2. Especially considering they use the same engine.
"Mass Effect = great game content wise. but a game this large showed how old dvd9 is. long load times from area to area, frame rate drops, my char...
With creative writing (edit: creative writing meaning writing things on the disc in creative ways. not like literary creative writing), you can read things that need to be read a lot faster than blu-ray.
the average speeds are similar, but if you put things that only need to be read once or twice every load towards the center, and things that get read every minute or less on the outside, you can increase streaming by a decent amount.
where was the dude at the end? I'm just curious.
ur never going to sell them for $100 each... Best buy and walmart are going to have too many copies to compete with.
They were selling well around august 10th then they had a shortage for a few weeks before they spiked this week.
if you look at weekly sales since then, the claims of a shortage seem very credible with sales droping <1000 before spiking this week with no release THIS WEEK to spike it.
That the 360 and Wii sold comparably to the point where it's indistinguishable as to who really sold more. That is still a pretty large achievement.
He launched 1. He wasn't in charge of dreamcast's hardware. You can blame Sega Japan for that one.
He did an interview with them that they split into 4 parts.
TV didn't replace theatre because theatrical releases are months apart from home video releases. If they were released simultaneously, a lot of people just wouldn't go to the cinema anymore.
Also, I can share my legally downloaded music just fine, so...?
5-10 years =/= tommorow.
my broadband speed has more than doubled in the past 3 years, and that's on almost entirely existing infrastructure. Once we get infrastructure that's either updatable or can sustain advancements for a while then we'll start having some ridiculous speeds.
It's about saying, "wtf apple? where the hell did you get this stereotype?"
tbh, I liked this a lot more than the newer apple ones. The apple ones used to be good, but now it's just getting old and looks really immature.

use the reply button in the original comment of the comment you're replying too.
For example, if u were to reply to me, reply to the comment I just replied to, and it will put your comment right underneath mine.
It's just easier to not sound crazy and actually know the person reads it that way.
yea... the ps3 has some ridiculous faults, like having too many games, and outputting in superhi res, and streaming flawless textures, and being powered by a supercomputer, and having hands down the best online.
at least that's what I've gathered the PS3's faults are from this site...
exactly his point. He never said they "screwed the game" he said that the game would continue to be the same across all versions, and that because of the disk royalties, the 360 version may need more compression than the other versions.
He never, not once, said that "the 360 DVD format and royalties screwed the game." He never even blamed DVD's, just the royalties, for the added compression.
if you disagree find me a quote.
will work in favor of the 360.
By far the strongest lineup this year is in the 3rd party non-exclusive games. When people go to the store and see these amazing games (Rage, PoP, End War, lotsa EA sports games, etc.), which play the same on a $199 console as a $399 console, it's hard to argue with.
Then it still has a strong exclusive lineup, and a lot of new features in the update for the casual gamer (XNA community games, growing XBLA library, Xbox Primetime, Avatar...
