I'm gonna check it out on PSN before I go to bed. I usually just go straight to gaming and forget to see what's new on PSN.
I'm almost sold on this one. I just want to see this one in motion
Ok, then you tell me, just what would this excess memory be used for?
Your argument would be more valid if the majority of the Wii's audience wasn't casual.
In other words, any AAA game from any other system shouldn't have mattered. If the wii's audience is casual, that means they aren't heavy gamers. So GTA, MGS4, or any other heavy hitter shouldn't have made a dent at all.
It IS a step backward because upscaling DECREASES the quality. If you have a HD television you can see the difference pretty easily.
Sure they can try to make things smaller. But quality losses out when you do that. Video picture and sound losses quality.
It is a different direction. But MORE is more. LESS is not more. And LESS is what that "different direction" is giving you
This is just sore-loser action on their part now. I can understand being upset that their HD DVD format lost. Ok fine.
But first they were working on upscaled DVD that would eliminate the need for Blu Ray discs. Now they are working on TV and PC monitors with upscale chips?
They aren't even trying to forward technology. All they're doing is acting like corporate versions of five year old children that are mad because they lost.
I mean come on, Sony took ...
I've seen the ads for it almost once a day during the evening. Normally around 8pm. So it has been advertised well
He "expected" it to sell poorly like that?
I know Boom Blox isn't exactly the most high profile game. But come on, the Wii's install base is gigantic.
Shouldn't the game have sold at least a little better?
since we all know EA will just keep going and going until they get Take 2. And mark my words, if they don't acquire Take 2 before the next midnight club and L.A. Noire come out, then they won't be acquiring them at all
You misunderstand
It's not the disc features, tech, and quality that will make it outdated. It's the lack of support that will make it outdated.
People didn't even care about this game until it became cult. Then all of a sudden people FINALLY gave it the credit it deserved after it had been out for so long and started to become hard to find. Same thing with ICO. Same thing with Vagrant Story.
They "hype" of this game (if you can even call it that) came from fellow gamers passing on the word of the high level of quality this game has.
You do realize the numbers for Metal Gear are ONLY TWO days right?
If it wasn't counting ONLY two days of MGS4 sales
MGS4's part of the numbers are only for TWO days.
when you see their sequels are only on dvd and/or blu ray
If PSN indeed DOES stay free, then yeah, your question sure as hell would be the next one we'd need to ask ourselves
I figured that in order to KEEP things free on PSN, the advertising from HOME and in-game would keep the costs down, and even make profit.
I could be wrong though
Are you out of your mind?
Do you honestly think I go around "documenting" articles and threads where trolls exists on this site. If you want THAT kind of proof, you can find it yourself.
Second, if you are trying to say one side is worse than the other, then you CLEARLY wasn't here last year and the year before. But then again, you did said you weren't around.
Big deal, you looked at old articles and threads. So I take it you looked at exactly ...
There you have it
You asked a simple question
So,
I gave you a simple reply
And I doubt people were "set back" when they purchased their ps3. If they had money for a ps3, then they DAMN sure had enough money for a 360. So your argument is kinda backward
It's almost as if you don't realize that all these "troll" claims you spout can just as easily be directed to the other set of fanboys as well
the proof is in the pudding. No excuses needed. FACTS speak for themselves.
Look at the size of the Wii install base. No more heroes and Zack and Wiki didn't sell well considering the VOLUME OF WIIS sold to customers.
And you speak of no proof, nintendo themselves even tells you the have the casual audience.
