So let me get this straight.. they should get out of console business because they're making tons of money from online? You also know they make tons from Halo right? And then you think they don't make profits from hardware sales? Hmmm. Going on its 6th yr you think a $300 360 Elite cost more to make than a $300 PS3? Really?
1 billion? Thought it was 500million. Typical PS3 fans and overinflating everything.
But its ok when PS3 fans want 360 to disappear? Or do you do the same speach when PS3 say such things?
Sony should really make sure that everything is locked down securely before turning it back on. Another breach would be more devistating that a people pissed at not having psn.
Lol... So u don't think Sony can protect your info.
Sorry, but first you guys laughed at them..
"LOL.. DDOS attacks.. amatuers"
Now you guys want to kill them. You gotta love the part where you think its MS or Nintendo!
I thought Sony was quoted on saying that everyone knew about the exploits, but them and even then didn't think it would really affect them.
nycredude, so you wouldn't blame your bank if they got robbed and they didn't have any cameras, security guards, alarms, and had an open vault?
I'm guessing you wouldn't blame your credit card company if they just put your information in an open shared drive?
You would just blame the people who stole the information?
What does this have to do with video games? So do you think this is like a video game where the hackers actually fly through the internals of a PC and shoot through the firewall? Maybe wearing a powerglove.. oops.. sorry they have to use Move.
LOL.. so typical. An expert on internet securities talks bad about Sony and he's called a "old faggot expert" by a typical PS3 fan.
So what does that mean?
UP, so will you and blackburn call Sony a bunch of damn idiots if there is proof? So far it keeps getting worse and worse and all I keep seeing is a bunch of group hugs and Sony will make it better.
Doesn't really matter if there's proof. Fantatics will just deny and then say its ok.
Amazes me that Sony can do no wrong. I agree that they were the victim, but they could probably have prevented it if they maintained their securities. I mean unpatched servers and no firewalls on certain parts of PSN????
Heads will definately roll for this.
"Worse yet, Spafford noted that key parts of PSN actually ran on Apache servers that "were unpatched and had no firewall installed.""
That's brutal.
I don't get it.
huh?
My point is that's its easier for hackers to check for exploits in Windows because its so readily available.
As for as your argument. If you got hacked because you didn't apply any of the MS patches, then yes, it is your fault. Now if MS didn't create a security patch for an exploit then yes it would be MS' fault.
I guess I don't understand...
"of course it was know to the world, or else it would have never happened. Sony didnt know much about it tho." - So if the world knew about an exploit its ok if Sony ignored it?
"Seems like they didnt understand how it could effect them." - Then they need to get rid of their entire IT department. That's their job to know.
"Hackers knew about it, sony did not know much. Thats why i...
I would have to disagree with you. Windows is pretty much available to take apart and look for security vulnerabilities.
Hulu plus is free?
