It's coming!
In the form of a rebate of course. So now you can get a PS3 for 199 and a 360 Elite for 249.
SonyStyle baby, still beating out the competition by 50 bucks!
They might not have the issue of paying more for the same items bought int he US or other parts of the wold.
From what I understand, Sony just passes the cost of import export on to the consumer and thus you see higher prices. Heck, look at Down Under. Man that place cost a fortune to game in.
Why would anybody be excited about exclusive RPG's? Would it not be best for the developer to have multiplatform revenue rather than a smaller net income due to exclusivity?
Edit:
To those who disagree... What has been the case for RPG's in Japan for the 360? They do not sell and are slightly mediocre. Not all but the majority of them. Now, knowing that RPG's sell well ont he PS3 and not the 360, they should be more excited about the RPG's that are developed for...
You can't allow such crimes to take place and have thick skin all at the same time. When you have trash in your yard, you should expect some criticisms.
Horribly generous. Sorry, but the game is definitely not worth a 9. Perhaps 7 or 8 would have been closer to the real deal here.
Here's why. Bioshock had no multiplayer but it received raving reviews but why? It was a shooter that had few new elements to it. Yeah it was a great game but IMHO, I had just as much fun with Bioshock as I did with Heavenly Sword. Oh but there was no multiplayer! Boooo!!!!
Yeah, right.
Halo: ODST is more of the same. Without reinventing the genre, Halo: ODST deserves 7 or 8 out of 10. Yeah it is a good game but it is not stellar.
They drop the price again? And all in the same quarter? Is this legit?
So telling from the disagrees, this is legit? Yikes MS! two price drops in two months? Pathetic!
Bought the drive a few months after I bought the console. It's so easy to install that anybody could do it.
Look at the reviews given to Heavenly Sword. That game was awesome but yet it was too short. Maybe if it were called Heavenly Halo?
Ok... Good luck with that.

You sir, took the words right out of my mouth.
Turn 10's goal is to compete with GT but Polyphony Digitals goal is to please the truest of car enthusiasts and reach for the stars. Yeah, I have said it before and I will say it again, they reach for the impossible while other reach for Polyphony Digital.
I have to say, for a free network, GT5 is going to be a crowning event for such online play. Not only will it look amazing but it will be truly competitive.
There is too much evidence that it is more of the same with too few a changes and was originally an expansion and yet it is released as a retail game. If anything, it deserves a solid 7 for the game itself but due to little/no innovation, it is not a 9 or 10. This might be a little low IMHO but MS needs to know you can't just slap Halo in the title and get full rave reviews.
Perhaps there was no money in the swag bag budget at MS?
Fugly.
Naughty Dog is not bothering with chasing the competition, they simply are chasing the stars. Way to go ND! you have succeeded yet again!
They have three hardware platforms and all the great games coming out now and in the near future. Sorry, but when I look at the 360 and the Wii, I just hang my head. Both my Wii and 360 just sit there collecting dust lately.
They pop up to help raise the average of games put out for the 360 when all others are giving low scores.
When a game get these kinds of reviews, it is only a simple matter of time before I break down and add it to my own library of quality titles for the PS3.
Look on the bright side of things... Maybe in a few more weeks it will be at 199 making it a little more bearable knowing how high the failure rate is on the 360. Heck, any price cut helps swallow the idea of having to buy another 360 knowing it might fail on you soon after buying it right?
