This article is nothing more than fanboy spin making excuses for Nintendo's terrible decisions, and it makes no sense at all. How is Nintendo "being honest" about the NX, when they refuse to give any details at all about it? If anything, they're worried about the upgraded PS4 and XB1, and afraid that the NX will be unable to compete with those systems.
How's your Wii U doing lately? Nothing to say about it?
It's "Gamingbolt" dumb, garbage clickbait site.
PC gaming isn't going to replace console gaming anytime in the near future, no matter how much you want it to. There are too many advantages for consoles in comparison to PCs, the best being that you can actually buy a physical game for a console, and play it whenever you want. Plus it is far more convenient to have a console, with it's closed architecture and uniform controls, hooked up to the TV.
Gamingbolt is a garbage site, better not to click on any of their articles.
This article is an opinion piece, but Rashid Sayed listed it as "news" when he posted it. I reported it, but the mods let it through, pretty sleazy stuff.
Can't stand cheatcc.com, most of their articles are garbage. Carmageddon: MD is probably going to be a great game. Obviously the author of this article has absolutely no sense of humor, and just doesn't understand the game at all. Here's an example of someone who has no clue (from the article): "There will always be dumb, immature, gross-out games out there, and that's great!"
What isn't "great", is garbage sites like cheatcc.
They really are a horrible website, looking only for cheap clicks, nothing more. Garbage site.
No, you really have no idea what you are talking about. Not enough is known about the Neo for you to even say that.
Only the most diehard Nintendo fanboy websites would try to spin Nintendo's "lack of E3 plans" as a good thing. In reality, Nintendo has absolutely nothing to offer for the rest of the year, their Wii U console is effectively dead, and the future looks very uncertain for them.
Unfortunately the game has gotten many reviews that rate it as average or mediocre, with the vast majority mentioning the terrible controls. The overall score on Metacritic is 69, "mixed or average reviews". No matter how much you want it to be a better game, it just isn't going to be one at all. Blame Nintendo and Platinum for this, not the reviewers who are just being honest about it.
Doesn't even look like a playable game, with a turtle dancing around. Awful stuff.
Or alternatively, he just gave an honest review for a game that was expected to be good by many fans, but turned out to be crippled by terrible controls. It's really not more complicated than that.
@ deafdani - Just pointing out that most reviews mentioned the terrible controls. Only a few diehard Nintendo fansites rated Star Fox Zero highly, and we all know that those scores are way out of line with the majority. Why get so upset about it? Nintendo and Platinum are the ones who ruined the game, maybe you should focus your irritation on them?
Another review mentioning how terrible the controls are in the game. Forcing the gamepad gimmick in yet another game still can't justify it's existence, sadly. They didn't score the game, but the overall review sounds like it would have been a 6.
"Nintendo just has something for everyone."
No, they really don't. Entire genres of games are almost completely missing, like FPS, TPS, racing, shooting, action/rpg, etc. If they had "something for everyone", the console wouldn't have bombed as badly as it did.
"It's just a shame Nintendo really screwed up with the console because it is a good console and really deserved better."
It really isn...
No, the Wii U certainly doesn't have the "best library of games", by a long shot. Entire genres of games are simply missing, 3rd party games are almost completely absent, and even some of the first party games are awful (like Star Fox Zero, Kirby's Rainbow Curse, Mario Party 10, Mario Tennis, Wii Fit U, Wii Sports Club, WiiParty U, Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival, etc.).
Hardware sales directly dictate the amount and quality of software available for the platform. That's why you should care about it.
Warning, if you are visiting this website from a mobile browser (tablet or phone), you will be assaulted by numerous annoying popup ads. Really awful stuff.
Very doubtful.
