I don't even like COD anymore but my reaction to this article could be perceived as that of a COD fanboy lol
I mean the reasons people don't like COD have nothing to do the actual gameplay. In a sense MW1 picked up where Goldeneye left off. Disagree all you want, but the casual nature and pure variety of both games makes it a fair comparison. Where they differ, and where perhaps this guy has one tiny point right, is that COD takes it self too seriously.

I hate the controls. I just can't get over the fact that turning sideways doesn't change how you use the left stick. I'm all for arcade-y games, but this one is just too simplified for me.

Pretty accurate rundown.
The only real problem with onlive is that they aren't really going after the right people. If you already have a good pc or console, its value isn't entirely obvious. However, if you are currently without any means of gaming, OR have dropped gaming as a "major hobby" in favor of school/music/work/whatever, Onlive is pretty much perfect.

hmm, I thought the soundtrack(and audio in general) was obviously on the list of top-notch qualities of the game (minus a few voice actors). I'm assuming you sat and listened to the radio talk show more than a couple times in the game right? You sat there...listening...
