People should be able to use it if they want. if the game has chat you can just mute it.
I dont have a mic on my ps3 and I will probably get it for that, so I dont care either way. But If I was playing with a friend who I know then I would want to talk to them while playing the game.
I bet that if they add voice chat then people on ps3 wont play with me because I have no mic for it....

Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight is one of my favorite games ever. DF2 is one of the greatest FPS ever for its time, and also the BEST starwars game ever made IMO.

well to me it was in the N64/ps1 gen.

I own people in team deathmatch tho, so maybe thats why I like it so much.
I played one game today tht ended up being just 2 VS 2 for most of the time and we destroyed them while I went 33-9.

Im pretty good at uncharted multiplayer and I wouldnt care if they completly removed those things from the game. However that would just make it harder for noobs to kill someone like me.
All the kickbacks and boosters I use are ones that were unlocked early. The biggest factor towards getting kills is still SKILL in this game. I can use my early unlocks and destroy anyone with much later ones still.
