That some dark pixel art their dabbling with there. I'll definitely be downloading this one tonight.
I recently got to play around the wjtb the Gear VR, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. Really looking forward to a steady stream of VR releases.
Such a solid effort for a debut game. Really excited for Orphan.
NOOO! I can already see my free time dwindling away before my eyes, This game has that same insta-retry feel as One More Line, and its far too addictive for my feeble mind.
Being a cash strapped uni student, I find it hard to justify a LOT of my purchases. How much interest I have invested in a title correlates closely with the dollar value I'd be willing to spend, regardless of length, or review scores. I paid $59.95 AUD for MGS V: Ground Zeroes on the day of release, and that game took me about 2 hours to complete.
Guybrush Threepwood and Duke Grabowski both sound like excellent porn names. Oh, and the game looks sweet too.
Yeah, meeting Han Solo and Darth Vader was very exciting. Just hoping it holds up as a good RTS after you wade through the buckets of nostalgia.
I really like the random element with the dealer. Very unique idea.
Love the noir look. Definitely have to check this out.
Visually, Outlast could pass as a Condemned game, easy. I just never found it all that scary, at least past the first few scares. But I agree, definitely worthy of a mention.
I'm just a big fan of Simogo's style. I wouldn't mind seeing developers like Simogo and Tin Man Games going the Telltale road, applying their unique flair to established properties.
Totally agree. I don't think it's a fad that'll die out anytime soon though, especially with figures like that driving the market. :(
It's definitely hard for a mobile game to attract the same kind of audience as a console game, but I really hope more people get behind this game, because the multiplayer challenges are actually a blast.
Wow... That is an impressive jump. I had no idea of the Metal Gear connection to Republique. I'll defintely have to check this out.
I think it's harder for mobile exclusive games like Midnight Star, because the F2P model is so ingrained the App Store ecosystem. Mobile games are guaranteed to drum up some attention because people trawling through the App Store have absolutely no qualms with hitting that GET button. Whereas Telltale can still charge a sensible price for their releases on mobile devices because they have a Multiplatform audience who are promoting the game before it even hits the App Store.
Definitely well implemented, and for a free game (and comic) you get a whole lot of content. Bottom line, for me personally, is that it's an ugly sales model, and one that we shouldn't be perpetuating. I don't dabble in IAP's for the same reason I don't play poker machines. No matter how much money you shell out, there is no clearly defined endgame, just a lure that always seems just out reach.
There needs to be more transparent pricing, e.g you can pay x...
Ahh Sid Meirs Pirates! and Monkey Island accompanied me during my trip across Australia. Many a sight went unseen because of those two titles.
Mike Choi, John Scalzi, Serj Tankian AND Seropian? This is a bloody transmedia supergroup. Why on earth have I not heard more about this game?
I'd like to see Telltale continue to grow, and persist with consistent releases. That being said, I'd settle for a game plan, some sort of outline looking at the next few years of releases. Kind of like Marvel's Phases.
Like, announce The Walking Dead Season 3, let us know that it won't be out for another 2 years, then give us a few reasons why the wait will be worth it.
If you've ever read The Ocean at The End of The Lane, or Coraline, you've got to check out this game. Very similar vibe.
