Everything isn't gonna be on a high horse forever. You have ups and you have downs. People have less money to spend. Most of us are finding more value in older purchases. I still play my old Total War games and Sins of A Solar Empire for hours. Not many great games worthy of the 60.00 price point (on the console side of things).
I really hope we dont see 70.00 games next gen.
Dev costs need to come down dramatically so that game prices can follow....

I bought Mass Effect 2 first day. Went straight to the hardest difficulty. Completed every mission and side mission. Got every upgrade. Had the loyalty of every squad mate. Defeated the collectors, and survived. My only regret is that Mordin died for some unknown reason, LOL.
Great game, but voice commands would not work unless they were PERFECT. And no console, or pc, can do that as of yet. Hell speech to text programs barely work.

I stay away from Call of Duty games. I buy them when they are 9.99 or less and never take them online.
But I had lots of fun with crackdown multiplayer. The original crackdown that is. Chasing my brother (he's a marine) through the city and on the rooftops. It was fun. No strategy involved. Somewhat the same with GTA 4 but you had more people in GTA 4.
The randomness is what makes these kind of online games entertaining, and I dont even like online gaming for the most part.

I liked the DC/Mortal Kombat game. But you could tell it was held back just a little. The fighting could've used a little bit of tweaking also.

I will say that some games we will buy regardless because they are just good. I just had to have Mass Effect 2 no matter what. I bought that day one.
And this is just me, but I think 30-35 would be a great sweet spot. Hell I buy most of my pc games when they are 19.99. The game of the year editions of course. But yeah these 60.00+ price tags are getting ridiculous.
I know the dev budgets are out of the roof. And if that is there main gripe. Then I say let the 360/ps3 generation go on for as long as possible. Let these devs get their costs down. Stop trying to do too much and just make fun games again.
Rather that be on Ebay or Gamestop, then my collection of ps2/xbox games would not continue to grow.

Sony ushered in gaming with the playstation. Anything before cant be considered REAL GAMING. Therefore this doesn't count as real 3d. Playstation 3 will bring real 3d. Not this cheap imitation knockoff that uses old technology. I mean we dont even have to wear glasses now because the tech in the ps3 is so far ahead of......................... oh wait!!!!!!!!
