Both consoles are now established and are not going the way of the Dreamcast. That is the only thing that SHOULD matter to a gamer. Consoles will be sold, games will be made for said consoles. End of Story.

Microsoft paid Rockstar so the game could get finished. People forget they were going bankrupt at that time. In return, they gave them the time exclusive to the DLC. But I'm sure Microsoft tried to get them to make GTAIV totally xbox 360 exclusive and 2k was having none of that, LOL

If its a failure to sell as many consoles as Microsoft has then let me in on the business. They took marketshare, made 360 a household name, and are still making Sony make changes to PSN (and vice versa).
I dont condone the things Microsoft has done this gen for the most part, but to call them a failure is just ludicrous.

I dont mind that E.A. has its own download service, I just hate the fact that I'm still gonna play the games through steam and I cant change my game tile, LOL. Small icons just look ugly next to the steam tiles.

I think Valve would act as Microsoft/Sony but on the pc side but with a smaller cut. There was no middle man in the pc world before digital distribution. Some of these companies have to be racking in even when their games sell for 4.99-5.99. Sell 250000 copies of a game at 4.99 = 1,247,500. Lets say valve takes 10% (maybe more maybe less) thats -124750. That still leaves you with over 1,000,000 in revenue. Cant beat that.
I have 6 of the 10 titles on that list. All purchased from steam at different times throughout the year.
I have said it once and I'll say it again, the main thing that matters to consumers is price. I buy games I will probably never ever get into because they get so cheap you would be a fool not to get them just to try out. Its cheaper than renting - if you could rent pc games.
Now if steam would just allow for the creation of custom tiles, especial...

They aren't too long per say, just too generic. This gen is full of Generic shooters. A good game is a good game, long or short. But of course it's all subjective
I didn't even list every Sony game because I'm not gonna go and search the internet for every game. I just list what comes to my head.
