I want one. That remote control functionality alone is reason enough for me. But being an powerful HD console with nintendo behind it helps a bit too.
That's the backside ram of the cpu. Obviously you folks don't know much about computing. real ram it only has 256. It has an 256mb backside cache on the processor.
even then it's still HALF the ram of what a wii U has reserved for games. Even counting things that aren't RAM.

Lol, the guy copy and pasted the bus speed thing from the other article. The article that ignores that 2 gigs of ram is substantially more then 360 with 512 MB and ps3 with only 256 MB ram. Then drew a whole bunch of conclusions completely forgetting that we still don't know much about the CPU and that the video card is supposely very powerful for a console. This guy fails at research.
Indeed, amazing hypocrisy and confusion is what the release of the wii U has become. I think some folks are just trying to get over that after the wii... nintendo has made something they kinda want and for whatever reason that tends to make them spazz to try and justify not wanting it. It's similar to what happens whenever Apple releases something super cool. I think it's a response that happens when you've conditioned yourself to hate a brand.

That being said. Crap, there's alot you can do on a wii U. with all those options out of the box. Sorry kids, It is next gen. If you're doing things you couldn't do the previous gen... yeah it's next gen. Get over it.
Which compared to currently existing gaming consoles is in fact, next gen. Of course as said a million times. Now that the wii U is out we are currently in the next gen so it's actually current gen tech afterall.
I wish nintendo would just release the specs so we can all see it's a tricore 3.3ghz processor and everyone can shut up and pretend like they never thought it less powerful than the ps3 already.

that's fine because ps2 was the weakest console of it's gen and ps1 was the weakest console of it's gen. Both those consoles were also the best selling. In fact for the last 3 gens the least powerful consoles have won their console wars.
Sure does for me. Have we determined if turning off a ps3 mid firmware update would result in the same effect yet? Wonder how sony would handle that by comparison.

That's like you said, a camera. Wiimote senses 2 led lights and uses that to determine the orientation of the screen. Additional note. That black bar is too small to house such lights. Do you see the distance on the sensor bar that you see in the length of the black bar at the top of the wii u pad? I know I don't and that's actually important.
Uhh duh. The controller itself was made after most wii games and the pad doesn't have a sensor bar built in. So why would I be assuming it could play wii games?
Next revelation, wii u's pad doesn't play 3ds games either.

Uhhh, it supports literally any external usb hard drive. Not really what I was planning on playing them on anyway. I personally plan on buying an laptop drive, a usb to scsi adapter and popping it into a super NES cart. A fitting drive for a nintendo system.

It's capable of running html 5 better. The reason 360 is not that great at that with it's IE is because it's 2004 low end pc hardware and wii u is 2009-2011 low end pc hardware. It isn't rocket science.
It's still here from the last gen. Aren't you noticing people saying they wont buy wii u because it wont be as powerful as an unreleased mystery console?
