WTF... nintendos stranglehold on the industry right now is best illustrated by a mii virtual pet game being number 3 on that list. Seriously it is a ds game with miis and no Wi-fi interaction whatsoever. Only in japan :/
my sentiments exactly I can't figure out what these people are talking about. Meanwhile I would sure love t5o see netflix on wii. If the quality is solid then I may never buy a 360 then. All i know is netflix streaming is a huge selling point for me on 360 and if i can get it as good as the service on 360 then I have one less reason to go HD this generation.
Damn this being pc software. I see few people are trying it out on their wii's. It seems as per usual noone is reading this article. Scissor... i almost reported you for posting a false title. Seeing as this news story is about how wii beta has begun not so much that it's been available for some time now on 360 and ps3.
I want to try this out... i love youtube on wii and would kill for hulu and netflix on it. Let alone streaming my torrent vids to my wii.. However... I, like the ...
Just because it looks great on wii doesn't an easy port make. Nintendos graphics work in a totally different way with many graphical effects then the HD consoles do. 360 and ps3 use basicly graphics enhanced pc tech. Nintendo has proprietary ibm tech. Basicly when Macs stopped using powerPC architecture nintendo bought it. The shaders, the way the processes are performed, particle effects, Every bit is very wii specific. Expect a long long wait if you want this for 360 or PS3. Since it's basi...
No top 10 Non Nintendo NES game list is complete without Master Blaster.
seriously... sony's motion is not that impressive. check this video out. All of what sony did is possible with a wiimote with motion +, a bicycle light and a cheezy webcam
i don't think you see the big picture. Wii includes next generation controls standard and in the box. All sony and MS have are pricey upgrades. Who would pay an average 300 bucks for a gaming console then pay another 100 for an addon then another potentially 60 bucks for one game for this addon when nintendo has it all in the box from the get go. Not to mention for that initial 300 bucks you could get the system with motion standard and either a brand new title or a couple older used titles. ...
my feelings exactly. Which is why i really worry about sony's decision to go pure DD on the PSP go. I just don't think the market is quite ready for it. I really feel like sony is really losing touch with what the general public wants. I think sony just might be assuming they can do what apple is doing with only an 1/8th of the support.
here's to another 300million down the drain.
But this will most likely outsell yakuza 3 and will probably have far more prolonged sales run. Hope they don't take too long to bring this gem to America. meanwhile, i can't wait for famitsu scores as well as the complete details of what the online modes are like.
I'd say it looks a whole lot like a PS3 or 360 controller if it wasn't for the fact that the ps3 and 360 controllers are variations on the SNES controller in the first place. So technically the controller simply goes back to it's roots more then ever before. I like the black tone and increased size but Not a facn of those fins controllers have nowadays. Maybe it's just because my first controllers were simply rectangles.
anyone who has played okami knows... graphics aren't everything if the art style is solid. Hope the zelda team can yank some inspiration from what they have seen from capcom. At least people are finally startiong to take the time to make the games that use everything the wii does. Seriously... look at okami and tell me those last gen graphics stink. I dare you. Just because it isn't the fanciest and newest doesn't mean it can't kick some arse.
yatzee from zero punctuation is going to be pissed. Oh well! Nintendo owns all sales charts this gen. They just know more about the games business in the end. Meanwhile the two new kids on the block are struggling to follow suit and not offend their uppity and cantankerous fanbases.
Wow... wii is a bloody powerhouse! No wonder sega decided to give Hardcore wii games a shot. In the meantime... yakuza 3 apparently gave Ps3 quite a substantial lead over 360. Good for them.
Remember... it was sony who said it's system had a 10 year life cycle and their the only ones who have said that about their systems. So I guess their logic all along was that they wanted to win this generation 5 years too late. That is as long as they don't continue their trend of losing over 300 million bucks a year.
I think sony's best tactic is to remove their fingers from a few pots. Maybe just give up on PSP already. Since that has been a failure for 6 years now. My favorit...
Almost time for july numbers, I imagine it will do just fine. It may not be best selling game of the year but how many 7-8 scored games sell that many? In the end, the beauty of developing games for wii is most companies can make their money back with a profit when 500,000 units are sold. If they sold over 100,000 in under 4 days then in theory they should have no problem making the 1/2 million mark. Last i checked Conduit was a low budget title to begin with. so Guess what?... thankfully for...
Better as single player anyhow. It should be an awesome wii title. Hopefully when suda said it will be the last NMH on wii he meant that wii HD will see the third one. I can't imagine the game being even a quarter as fun without those genius motion controls.
The funniest part is that by 2011 it is not to far of a stretch to think that both nintendo and microsoft will have new consoles to sell. So i guess all Sony kids have to look forward to is beating a last gen console in 2011.
I've played many folks on conduit. Wiispeak works quite well andas long as they keep that wonderful "send invite to console friends" feature it shouldn't be too bad. Pretty much this just proves that valve should take some time to become more familiar with the possible online options in the wii SDK. But i seriously doubt Valve has a Wii SDK to begin with. Their too busy making millions off PC gaming to worry about wii too much. Meanwhile... I'm getting the grinder :D
seriously ... nintendo is not going to pass on easy money. It costs practically nothing to convert for VC. It's basically a legal rom format. It still feels like to me nintendo, sega, SNK and numerous other gaming companies would be stupid to throw in the towel on VC. Which is why we shall probably continue to see tons of VC releases throughout the wii generation. Though If we don't see Starfox soon.... I'm going to bust some serious heads. Not to mention... I hardly think 20 odd N64 releases ...
I hope this means more square or enix snes rpg games are going to be released on VC... I would kill for FFIV. It is all I have ever wanted for VC since it came out. There are so many quality RPG titles on SNES I have been infinitely perplexed as to why more of the classic, lesser known, RPGS for that system aremn't on VC. I'd love to play EVO on my big screen or robotech.
