The Entertainment division at Microsoft is taking some heavy criticisms. Courier has been discontinued, Zune has bombed and the 360 is losing market share. Microsoft shareholders are wondering why the company is wasting time in markets with small margins when Microsoft's core business has a margin of around 70%. Allard's out and now Greenburg is working to keep his.

Some are suggesting that Microsoft exit gaming if Natal bombs (Yeah, they're idiots):

Lady Gaga...?

*sigh*

DJ Hero was my most disappointing game last year.

There were some nice joints on the disc, but too many were rehashes. Not only has DLC been relatively non-existent, but the selections have been more pop/dance, which nauseates many of those who bought it hoping for some hip-hop and funk.

They should have had a tribute to Guru from Gangstarr (RIP) with mixes from DJ Premier, Alchemist, etc.

Exactly. Bubbles to you!

If they leverage PSN, it will be the sure shot! What is funny is that I game on my PSP about 80% of the time at home anyway. So a larger screen is welcomed in a portable.

I expect these sort of games, but I won't buy them. I'm looking for Move support in hardcore games too.

Although I can't wait for Heavy Rain and Move and want more games like those from Sony, I want to see what 3rd parties have for us. I'd like to see Enslaved incorporate Move for its "leash" somehow.

Move should be an optional control for all 1st and 3rd party shooters. Plus motion control, and Move in particular could spur intere...

Never understood "win" E3. Is it based on spectacle or hype? Is it based on the most games/original IPs? What? I don't think it is a "fan/fanboy" thing, so much as being critical - they can be objective about it. Yet instead I know I'm getting someone's biased opinion.

Which is fine. Usually only a handful of games catch my eye across all consoles at E3. I hope to hear announcements from one or two games. After that I don't have much ...

I wouldn't say that Sony and Microsoft CARE about the customers. That has too many warm and fuzzy feelings associated with it. These companies only get warm and fuzzies for the money.

It is a question of which company understands its customer base better. While the 360 and PS3 go after the same market. The demographics that make up their respective slices are different so I don't see how a comparison is meaningful.

Personally I absolutely hate anything Ape Escape. Like hate it, hate it, hate it, hate it.

I going to remake my current game sleeves into these.

Wii's market share is rock solid, while the 360's is falling. People are really underestimating the power of the reigning champ.

I hope for the success of both the Move and Natal, but I don't see either dethroning the $200 Wii. Not to mention that it already has hundred of casual games cheaper than current 360 games. Now if the $149 previously mentioned includes the cost of an Arcade, it's on!

You will need two controllers if a friend wants to play.

I can speculate because the Move is indicated at being under $100. With the PSEye about 30-40 dollars. I'm thinking the Move will be priced similarly to the DualShock. Throw in the analog controller for FPS. That's about $160.

With Natal you just need that long ass camera.

I think it is great for consoles that we are getting all these features. If 360 gets them first, I don't care as long as I can get them too.

I wouldn't be surprised if they come out with a set-top box.

@Holyorangecows2: True, but anyway...

@unknown:
I'm sure the PS3 is being considered down the line. Hulu was the PS3's browser's killer app before they took it away. Plans for a subscription based model was likely the reason. If it don't make dollaz it don't make sense.

I watched Rocky and some cartoon at my friend's house, showing off my PS3 to a XBox owner. Maybe now he can bring his 360 over and taunt me since I don'...

Both need good games to survive.

I think two Move controllers with analog controller will cost more than Natal. $149 doesn't seem so much in comparison.

I'm waiting for Microsoft to go on a tear and buy up a crapload of devs. It has to happen for them to be competitive.

Maybe not this gen, but before next gen.

I think everyone is going to realize that the difference isn't really that much between these two games when you bowl it down to the user experience. It is going to be a very special game that is going to make one say "Natal is new and fresh," but it is not going to be Brunswick Bowling.

Long overdue, and I think Microsoft should consider porting over some original XBox games.

I can have the White album on wax, eight track and CD. I can have Five Deadly Venoms on VHS, DVD and now Blu-ray.

Why not the same for video games. It makes sense, and I think it shows that video games are becoming part of the mainstream as far as media.

BTW...MGS2 and MGS3 before Metal Gear Rising release would be a good tactic. Maybe Sony can give...

How do we know these are the worst decisions really?

The decision to not release another Shenmue may be what hindering world peace.

It's possible.

"Keep the 360 from losing market share, Natal will not."

Yada...Yada..Yada...Yoda

As a fan, I hope Natal succeeds. I think the concept is cool. What I hate is how Microsoft is handling it. I hear better things about Natal from developers than what I see from Microsoft. Problem is I hear some negative things from developers as well.

I think Bayless is on to something when he says about a platform being differentiated. I don'...
