It does look like PS3 did steal 2007, so 2 out of the past three years isn't so bad. 2008 was more of a dead head it would appear.
Wii (Nintendo)
FY06 / April 1, 2006 – March 31, 2007: 5.84 Million
FY07 / April 1, 2007 – March 31, 2008: 18.61 Million
FY08 / April 1, 2008 – March 31, 2009: 25.95 Million
FY09 / April 1, 2009 – March 31, 2010: 20.53 Million
Nintendo DS (Nintendo)
FY04 / April 1, 2004 – March 31, 2005:...
Playing through Heavenly Sword and anyone who likes God of War should buy it.
We shouldn't expect it to be like the PS3 price drop. More people were on the fence for the PS3 because of price. It was more of a tipping point. This is a nice bump up for the XBox, even if its short-lived.
No...
Honestly I think for a lot of them, it's payback. Internet time must be short; not that long ago the PS3 was the dog on N4G. LOL!
Anywho...Congrats MS.
I don't think Sony is looking for an instant revolution. Sony first targets those first adopters. Woe to us who can't afford it, but eventually we will. Prices for 3D HDTVs will drop just like HDTVs have.
Sony's projection is 2-3 million I believe. High definition television sales are in the thousands, now that a 32 inch is available for under $300. If I'm right, that's a pretty small percentage. I wonder how current sales for HDTV have trended?
You know how many arguments this would save. You could watch the game while your wife watches Twilight.
How the hell am I supposed to pay attention?
This is essentially spam.
Eminem has skills, but he's not Jay-Z. I know he's an easy draw for white kids, but his music isn't "mainstream" hip-hop for most. His lyrics are more akin to Marilyn Manson than Kool G Rap. As a result his music is often different...not something I'd care to have mixed in with other hip hop songs. Maybe for the batty boys who listen to trance and techno.
I'm old school...MC Serch > Eminem.
DLC for all ten of you. DJ'ing is hip hop not techno. Been that way for 35 years.
It's not out yet, of course they're still working on it.
No. You can do a seated experience. Rare just doesn't want you to.
Huh?
Better than the first one, meh...
I want an exclusive hip hop album Kodick! No techno.
I wonder how it knows when to release the ball. Does it do it on a downswing? I would purposely flub my shots in Wii Sports. This isn't fidelity in-game, just you as the controller.
I liked Wii Sports Bowling when I used to go over this lady's house. She had Wii Sports and a Sponge Bob game, that's all. This could be good for casuals if its bundled with Kinect.
Wii's still cheaper.
Kinect's tech is cool, but its games suck. I'm not so much excited for the controller itself as I'm excited for the games: Sorcery, Heavy Rain, Killzone 3, Heroes on the Move, Sly Cooper...
I'm going to be a pitch man too. I think casuals would especially like a motion Heavy Rain. I plan to show that off when I get it...just to see if they actually like it. I think the emotional drama, graphics and motion controls would be a knock-out combination.
...
Really? Compared to the other Transformer games, it is better? Elucidate please.
Cool. Now only the 360 doesn't have a decent enough motion control for core gamers.
Kinect is for girls. Tell your girlfriend/wife and more and less forget about it for yourself.
E3 itself was a waste of time for Kinect. That's why it was on MTV and Times Square...unless some its games catch your attention. Batty Boy.
It is cool technology, and people want to see a hardcore game from it.
No one has to agree with it to comment on it anyway. If you don't like it stay off the the intertubes...simples.
True...asking who funded the study is a valid question. But just because Microsoft funded the study doesn't mean the information is not valid. How they use/spin the information is another matter...
and all companies do it.
Microsoft said a limited number would be shipping. Hopefully, they'll get rid of the Arcade entirely and give everyone hard drives.
