Seriously, what would you consider next gen then? Consoles that have GTX 780 Ti's? Do people really want Sony or Microsoft to sell $900 consoles?
This whole PC master race thing is getting really old.
And that's coming from a guy who's played 90% of his games on the PC the past three years.
Ps4 is mid ranged, xbox one is low-mid. Same gpu as a 7790 which is like a $130 gpu and is considered entry level in the pc gaming world.
Actually if they do a super mario 3d world bundle for $250 I'm going to buy it.
So far the best looking game that has caught my attention is super mario 3d world. But man if they would have just released a zelda game like their concept video I'd buy a Wii U just for that.

Except that the ebay prices are much more than that of an xbox one. So people just want a PS4 regardless of the price.
I don't mean it in a demeaning way actually, I mean that it's going to capture a wide audience. The dudebros are going to love it and the non dudebros. Definitely getting it on my PC.

Good question, but I think it does count as a purchase since you technically have to use the "add cart" and "purchase" except it comes out as $0.

I'm personally surprised that both companies went with a one SKU package this generation.
I see what Microsoft was trying to do and understand that having Kinect standard with all Xbox Ones creates a better development surrounding, much like how the PS3 had a standard HDD for all systems too.
But man they sure would have sold even more and probably outsell the PS4 in the U.S. if they came out with a kinect-less $349 system.
Nah they don't, they still are making money off their handhelds.
If anything, they will come back around next next gen with something much better. But as a company they still have a lot of cash left.
If anything I'm glad Sony went their own direction and gave us the PS1, PS2, PSP, PS3, PSV, and now PS4.
