I don't know what's stranger, paying $800 for a $400 console, or paying $175 for a broken console that was mutilated on purpose.

Because it's not about how hard or easy it is to make the game, it's about meeting a launch window. And most of the time launch games just aren't going to be polished as games that come out when they are actually ready. Not that hard to understand.
Interesting, so did I. Did 80% of my gaming on PC for 2-3 years, now with the release of the PS4 I'm back at console gaming.

That's pretty much what people have to do with DR3, while it would have been super nice to have some next-gen visuals, the gameplay actually makes up for a lot of it. People just have to take DR3 for what it's worth, a Zombie Killing fun time.
I agree also, and add that tlou is the end of a generation game, and DR3 is a launch title.
Although DR3 really is one of the least graphically impressive games too. It's more about the number of zombies on screen.
Overall is not an apples to apples comparison.
I think he's coming to the conclusion because at a recent expo AMD or Dice mentioned that the PS4 is going to be involved in the optimization. Something like that, sorry I can't remember what it was exactly.
Yeah I agree, I'll also add that it's more for PCs, but they are using the PS4 as part of their overall goal for better optimizations. Mantle will primarily benefit the PC.

I agree. The best things about AC4 was because of the parts that ISN'T Assassin's Creed. Pretty much stuff like the ship and naval combat, the crafting, and the cheekier story line.
But the other tropes of AC like following missions, eavesdrop missions, and clunky combat mechanics are friggin' super annoying.
