PSP no way cant handle PS2 games, maybe it's for NGP
PS4's time hasn't came yet, Sony is doing right to focus on PS3 and NGP. Technically PS3/360 are still good and new generation consoles aren't necessary yet.
I think there's at least 3 years until PS4 launch.
Battery life of PSP2 is reported to be the same as PSP's - around 4 - 6 hours.
Wow, PSP was a real beast 7 years ago, even today its games looks good. And I can't wait to see what more PSP2 is delivering to gamers. As racing games lover I can't wait to see something like Gran Turismo 5, NFS: HP or Juiced 2 on PSP2
Because it's the only name Sony gave to this device yet. Name "PSP2" officially even doesn't exist, as you can see in the NGP's pictures there's written only "Playstation" under the screen.
PSP2 is amazing devices and nobody's asking these questions because they are ridiculous.

Isn't it the same device as in the vid?
It looks too slim to have slide buttons pad so it might be the upcoming SE Xperia X12. The size and appearance looks similar so I would be really surpriced if this is PSPhone.
I don't think that they in trouble at all, they doing fine at the moment.
Sure there is nothing to expect when talking about Nintendo Phone, but you never know.
PSPhone will be cool device, but if I would buy portable console I would also prefer PSP2 or 3DS. However if I would be looking for cellphone then I think PSPhone would be in my choices list.
I think it is very possible to happen about 3DS itself, but I doubt that 15 mil games will be sold on the first month

Hahaha, phone function for NGP? What's the point? It would increase price and it still wouldn't be popular as a phone anyway. Who would buy an expensive and powerful gaming phone if he isn't interested in gaming? It still would be popular just as portable console doesn't matter if it has phone integrated or not.
Xperia Play will cost at least $400 dollars so can you imagine how much NGP smartphone would cost? Moreover, the whole form factor should be changet...
