It's not hard to understand. The 360's MAIN selling point was it's low price and even then it could not outsell the Wii. The PS3 was expensive but it still sold very well. At $299 the PS3 is now within nearly everyone's grasp which means the 360 has lost it's MAIN advantage. PS3 can definitely outsell the 360 2-1 and maybe even more. It's not that hard to believe.
Some customers are not informed, but they're not stupid. I'm sure most of them are smart enough to realize the the P...
Both SCC and Mass Effect 2 will be coming to PS3. The install base by spring 2010 will be close to 30 million if not more and that's too much too be ignored Especially by a publisher like EA.
PS3 will have surpassed the 360's sales by July 2009.
Well then tell me? Why is Natal a better alternative than PS motion wands?
Sony has been planning this all along. Building up first party, starting more casual IPs, PS motion wands, and now the Slim. It's all part of their plan.
It'll be my second PS3.
Yes it will. The 360's selling point was it's price. With that gone, sales will start decreasing while PS3 sales will begin increasing. PS3 should start selling 200k+ a month while the 360 will dwindle to around 100k (mostly people replacing their old RROD console). Within a year, the PS3 should be well ahead of the 360 and MS will have failed yet again.
The wii's sales are still strong and the casual crowd still buys it so I don't expect the PS3 to outsell the Wii for at least ...
Lots of games are getting gimped because of the 360's DVD and hardware limitations. Bluray IS needed if you want all games to be as good as PS3 exclusives.
At least a lot of games wouldn't have been gimped by MS. Then again, without the 360 the PS3 would still be expensive. Competition is good for us, but I also don't like that MS is holding everyone back.
Nope, Natal is too limited, even the wii can do more. The only way to do this would be if MS announced a supplementary controller which would defeat of the purpose of Natal (a controller-less experience).
A better alternative would be the PS Motion wands since they're actually controllers unlike natal.
Most 360 "exclusives" are either timed or also on PC. The 360 is unreliable, no true exclusives, paid online (free on PC and PS3) etc. That doesn't look too appealing does it?
And why was it removed? Obviously because it has some truth to it. PirateThom posted an image below.
Perhaps because it's true. hmmm.
Not gonna happen.
I think Uncharted 2 might get a boost from the PS3 slim sales. Otherwise this list seems pretty much what I'd expect.
Pretty good guesses. I agree with most of them, although I think Uncharted 2 might sell more. It's a big PS3 game and with the PS3 slim perhaps more people will pick it up as well. I don't think ODST will do Halo 3 numbers as it's basically an expansion so 3-5 million sounds about right. And of course, most of the top 10 will be wii titles.
MS could have put those 50 million to good use but they wasted them on timed exclusivity. I don't see why anyone would buy a 360 over a PS3 now.
50 million down the drain.. hahah another piece of bad news for the betabots.
PS3 is only 2 years 8 months old. How is that late? It is late for MS though as they've cornered themselves and have no way out. Instead of building up first party and trying to sell the console based on games not price, MS desperately dropped the price and relied on third party. Like many have said it's comparable to the Hare and the Turtle. MS rushed and now they're out of steam and the turtle is catching up.
