Perhaps the AIAS should be the official video game awards like the the oscars of the gaming world. AIAS are actually indstry people and no random bloggers.
Exactly! I think MS should just save Natal for next gen when they'll be able to really use it by actually building the xbox 3 around it.
A hardcore gamer is someone who actually follows game news, plays more genres and more time I guess. Casuals are those who just do it once in a while to play madden or wii sports.
The reason for Killzone 2's high budget was that they had to build the engine completely from scratch and Sony wanted it to be a demonstration of what the PS3 could really do. Gears and Gears 2 both used the UE3 which is already developed so that minimized costs greatly. It's pretty simple to understand. Had Gears 2 used a new engine it would have been a lot more expensive.
And their review of Last Remnant. I don't know what they were smoking but it must of been really strong.
Who cares? PS3 owners get both :)
Don't tell the bots, but Milo's a fake :O !
I agree. I don't see why Natal is supposed to be huge yet PS3 motion controls are totally forgotten. I'd rather MS focuses on one thing. Right now there's not that many upcoming exclusives even for the hardcore gamer and I don't like that. And, even though they lack games for the core, they still decide to focus on the casuals instead of working on new IPs. The casual market belongs to Nintendo and neither MS nor Sony will take that.
Yes, if MS know anything it's how to advertise; however, if I don't see Natal being as big as you expect. Too many factors and besides, the 360 is seen as a hardcore console by casuals. When you think Xbox you think Halo and Gears not Viva Pinata and Natal. There are too many things going against Natal for it to be as successful as MS hopes.
Don't act stupid bots. Being on multiple disks with heavy compressions will also make the 360 version suffer. The PS3 version WILL be 60 fps as John Carmack himself has confirmed. The game still has over a year of development time so just wait and see.
Why do you bots disagree? It's a FACT that ME2 was making 360s overheat and RROD. There's no disagreeing with that and it's pretty sad that it is just 30 FPS. As for the Rage thing, John Carmack has confirmed he'll get the PS3 version up to 60 fps so I think I'll trust him instead of some delusional bots on this site.
Rage's FPS on the PS3 was estimated to 20-30 FPS RIGHT NOW. It still has lots of time and John Carmack has said the PS3 version will run at 60 FPS.
Uncharted 2 also won MANY awards at E3 while the Alan Wait Impressed NO ONE. The 360 version clearly under delivered. It was supposed to be a great SANDBOX game which it no longer is because of the 360 limitations. So sad the 360 gimps yet another game.
Wtf do you want? You can't have it all. Sony offered a machine with EVERYTHING but people complained about price so they took stuff out and made it much less expensive and now people want it back!? Make up you're minds please.
Why is it going to be huge? If it's too expensive casuals will not buy it. It has to be around 49.99 bundles with some minigames to sell and MS it's been rumored it might cost up to $199. If that's true the Casuals it's targeted at will not pay attention. So again, why will Natal be so huge when it's got limited uses and a high price?
Natal has too many problems to be as successful as MS hopes.
1. At this point it lags too much. Sony knew this and that's why they decided to add controllers. MS can't add controller otherwise it would defeat the purpose of the controller-LESS experience.
2. MS said this was going to be expensive so don't expect it to be less than $99. Tell me, what casual would buy something that expensive? Casuals are natal's target so it should be priced like the PSeye.
PSP has better games than 360.
Alan Wake won zero awards at E3. You guys expected your "great game" to be acclaimed yet it won no E3 awards. Most awards went to Uncharted 2, a PS3 exclusive and that's a FACT. Alan Wake did not Wow anybody and in fact many people felt it didn't deliver.
Yes, as much as you won't admit it the 360 version kept the superior PC version behind. First, the game doesn't even look that good. Second, the graphics were praised because it was a sandbox game that look amazing, but now it's just another linear shooter. I know you won't believe it, but you guys know there WAS a very superior PC version from all the demos done on PC and you also know it was vastly superior.
Wtf do sales have to do with this? Uncharted sold more than Mass Effect, does that mean Mass Effect wasn't enjoyable? The only games that have outsold Uncharted on the 360 are Gears and Halo so don't be stupid. You're basically saying 99.99% of all games aren't enjoyable because they don't sell millions in one day.
