Apparently 60 bucks for all consoles (including PC)
I have no idea why they're putting games exclusively on the 360. They don't sell at all on the 360. WKC sold more than most 360 RPGs and it's only been released in Japan. Obviously, SE seriously has some issues with SOny.
Perhaps in the US, but Worldwide the PS3 will destroy the 360. Sales in Japan and Europe will go up a lot.
The PS3 will sell around 600k world wide in September and that's very good. I think Sony will reach their goal of 13 million for the year and will definitely beat the 360 this year.
They won't feel bad for the PS3 when FF XIII Sells millions on it. Expect FF XIII to outsell the 360 version by around 2-3 million. Remember, over 50% or FF's sales comes from Japan, that's a FACT, and FF XIII is PS3 exclusive in Japan, that is also a FACT. They don't feel sorry for the PS3, they just want their games to actually sell.
Me to.
I already own GOW and GOW II but if true I'd buy this without even thinking. Imagine if they also implement trophies into GOW and GOW II (not that they're needed or anything). That would be really great.
I'd say Spring 2011 for Japan, and December 2011 for the rest of the world.
Well, from SE's current past with Sony I'd say there's a high chance they'll stab Sony in the back again; however, Nomura prefers the PS3 so perhaps he has enough power to make it stay exclusive (like Kojima), and besides, PS3 sales will be increasing a lot in Japan which means Sony will have more "influence" over SE which sells most of their games in Japan.
FF Versus XIII will be what FF XIII should have been had it not been gimped by the inferior 360 hardware and DVD limitations. From the trailers, Versus also looks a LOT more interesting than FF XIII.
Shadowman, I thought Bluray didn't matter. I though it wasn't needed.
Just because the PS2 sold 140 million doesn't meant he PS3 was bound to sell the same. Besides, PS3 will sell over 100 million by the time this gen ends.
Shadow Man, if KZ2 became a platinum title it means it sold enough copies not that the it didn't sell. Do some research before looking like an idiot.
Excellently written article and it certainly manages to put all journalist bashing the PS3 to shame in only a few paragraphs.
"60% of 360’s sold worldwide are sold in the US, home to the majority of the worlds videogame meida outlets."
The PS3 sells very well worldwide, as I've said before, while the 360 relies HEAVILY on the US. If the 360 were to loose the US then there would be no Microsoft.
If MS releases a Slim 360 and it doesn't have hardware problems like RROD and disk scratching I'll stop bashing the 360.
Sony did what they did to be able to lower the price. The PS3 was selling good, but Sony now wants to go after marketshare (not just profit) and to do that they need a lower price-point. Unless manages to release a 360 slim for $99 it won't help them. People are NOT waiting for a 360 price cut, it's already cheap.
Very good interview. Gives you a lot of insight into what goes on behind close doors.
"Had we done less, I think we'd have gotten into a situation where, especially with the way technology ramps up, it would have been very difficult for us to embark on a 10-year life cycle with this particular console. "
Hmm, MS could learn a thing or two from this statement. The 360 was outdated not even two years after it's release and it's looking more and more like a last gen console. I mean, the first 360s didn't even have HDMI haha.. MS built a joke console and the...
Zune HD, like the 360 and Vista, will once again be failures for MS. Natal will soon join them as well.
Ouch, there goes superior multiplats bots. How much bad news in so little time, I'd hate to be in you're shoes.
