The eyetoy came out to an install base of 140 million. As much as you deny it, Natal is just a more advanced Eyetoy and it's coming out to an install base of around 30 million. If the eyetoy didn't revolutionize gaming with so many potential buyers then what would make Natal so different?

MS needs to rely on first party. Third parties aren't going to suddenly start making games for natal because they won't negate the PS3. The install base of both consoles is too big to ignore and devs won't make games using natal that would make them unplayable on PS3.

I don't see and I don't think Natal will "revolutionize" gaming. If the PStoy didn't when there were 140 MILLION ps2s I don't see how natal will do it with a console that has 1/6 the install base.
Natal will fail for various reasons:
1. It's has a lot of lag, something Sony learned about with the PSeye.
2. It's going to be expensive. MS said it may be up to 200 bucks.
3. the "casuals" this is targeted to view the 360 as a hardcore console (COD, gears, halo) and will not identify with it like they do with the Wii.
4. By the time it comes out the PS3s install base will be much higher and the 360 will not be much relevant. ...
PS3 Slim has NOT released yet so will not see the full impact it'll have until the next few weeks. Don't jump to assumptions and try reading the article before sounding like a moron.
