Square may be on the wrong console. SO4 may tank sales wise because it's on 360. I'm getting it, mind you, but I'm worried. It'll probably get ported eventually. The sony fans are hating, but I don't care. This and White Knight Chronicles, plus anything from FNC (FFXIII series for the uneducated) will make 2009 a good year for me RPG soul! Oh! And Dissidia!!!! WOOT!
We'll see next gen, but right now, even with a ton of timed and full exclusive JRPGs in its library (not all good mind you), the 360 has generally failed in Japan.

but mediocre. The controls were so-so, especially targetting for certain parts of the game. Things got repetitive quick and the comic-screen story telling was unique, though distracting. A fair outing for Game Republic, but they should go in another direction.

Not necessarily true. Too much news coming over the past 6 months claiming the PS3 to currently be breaking even for me to think Sony isn't starting to make a profit back on the system, if not in hardware, then it's recent solid software sales. Say what you want about their starts, Sony published titles always have legs (see Uncharted, Ratchet, Heavenly Sword and recently LBP and Resistance 2).
Also, consider PS3 as a dual-format, pushing the now successful blu-ray product. PS3...

Trying to compare these sales to Tales of Vesperia, Blue Dragon and Last Remnant positively for the 360 vs PS3 war. Don't even try. WKC did 100,000 day 1 compared to what you're all pointing out as 100,000 1st WEEK sales for the 360 titles. Also, consider the install base. Of course first week was big for the 360, as most RPGs on any format are, but legs? NOTHING. They all crashed and burned after first week.
