VR is here to stay.
Microsoft is just way too late to pitch in and join through xbox.
Microsoft owns not a lot of game companies .Sony does.
Above 220 current and upcomming games listed for psvr.
VR will slowly gain momentum because its very hard to market it. You cant sell VR experience through 2d advertisements.
And its a 10 times better experience enhancer than 4K o...

The MS xbox one exclusives were all from EA

The DRM xbo idea did not come from MS....Think EA...think money.

Just lookup the grades of any exclusive games of whatever platform.

1) at least $100 more expensive
2) promises made in the past (diectx, cloud, mandatory kinect,drm) and now true 4K. Xbx 4K has yet to proof its supposed superiority over ps4 pro 4K

XbX is just 50% more than pro and sony is hyping this 18 months in advance like its a ...

Of course it will not fail financially. If a lot of exclusives were designed/developed for it, it could fail financially, but MS did not make that mistake by investing to much in AAA game development and owning game studios.
People with money will buy it because of 4K and UHD bluray player and no more 900p multiplats. And that's should be enough to make it a financial success. It will not beat the competition in any way. But that's not the goal.

You probably haven't got a clue what VR is.
It's just like saying " mobile gaming will fail" or "cardboard social games" will fail or "sporting" will fail...
VR is not like kinect or move...It's jus another type/manner of playing games.

Maybe XBOX is financially already a big success....

Some companies just want financial big WINS without spending\investing to much. Selling the most is not always the goal to achieve that.

Microsoft is selling 30M even when the don't own and invest in much exclusives and diversity like SONY does.
SONY has AAA VR and exclusives. We just don't.
Just lookup the number of first second and third party game studios owned/managed by Sony and by MS!!!...But I am glad with my xbox one. That's what counts.

Both consoles have 4K , but if XBX doesnt squash the year older and less powerfull ps4 pro, it will be a very major problem.
