Everybody here is concerned about framerates.
Let me help you out:
As most developers already stated:
They will mostly choose 30 fps over 60 fps if they need to show better graphics (texture) quality.
NO matter how powerful a console is!!!!!!!!!!
its a commercial /developers decision .Only racing game mostly do not need the high texture quality (everything is blurry when you race) and good racing games mostly are run at 1080p...
1080p 120fps or 30 or 60 fps is ALWAYS a developers choice!!!!

Most developers of most of the games sacrifice fps to gain the best(graphics) .The downside is that graphics are commercially more worth than lets say framerates. But I don't think the beyond 2 sould is working for a launch title. The timewindow would be much to short .
And certainly bungi with their destiny game are not a club who likes to commit to a launch date or any other kind of date. They allways select a date which they choose for their own reason (mostly to enhance the game story experience.

From my pov Frostbite enigine is better in the ps4 market.
It IS a crossplatform engine...
even if console would be jetplanes, developers would still mostly sacrifice the fps to gain more graphics (texture) quality. maybe consoles graphics will be outdated after 2 years, But it takes more than 4 years to really squeeze all the juice out of consoles. And they do ( "the last of us" of God Of War3 ) is quite impressive for a 8 year old console with only 256 MB memory)
You are probably a "I love games for their graphic resolution and Frames per second" kind of person. That's OK.

Going to the pc shop and plugging a pc together beats years of extensive research by a billion dollar company in a AAA lab by a couple of 100 engineers in building a game-console which consist pc architecture parts or custom chip-sets from pc part suppliers..

I also remembered a very promising xbox game which got wasted because of the unreal engine issues (they licensed the wrong build).
I noticed that there a lot less PS4 games in development with the unreal4 engine at this ...

frostbite ,Fox engine and even the unknown killzone engine are looking better then this unreal 4 ps4 demo.
Seems that the UNreal engine already needs to be upgraded to 5...

is not possible to achieve ( 60fps ) @ 4k with AA. All i can say is ( 30fps are ONLY ) a style choice . you really think that with a 8gb ( probably 7,5gb ) of integrated video frame buffer for render only @ 2k resolution have this limitations ?.

heavy rain, killzone3, god of war3, uncharted3, the last of us, beyond...
But yes, most pc games do look better than their console versions, because the games are mostly multi-platform and have not been optimized for the consoles only.
Games which did get optimized look a generation leap better than most of the multi-platform games.

I’m sorry to say that microsoft probably will leave the ring in this early stage. they will most likely better try to rival the wii. they have a better change at that (maybe buying mario and zelda….) they don’t even have to lower the price. just make xbox live free!!
