I really love the PS3 version. (even better on a DS4 controller)Far and away better than the PC version IMHO. I totally wasn't expecting characters being transferable to next gen. That's really cool.

IMO it comes down to devs for the first time working with a closed 1080p platform. Having to optimize these features for these fixed platforms takes time, which there's not a lot of before launch. They can't just turn features on and expect the consumer to split the difference.
Maybe on a fan site, but there's far fewer gamers buying at launch than those that aren't.
I think your scope is a bit narrow to judge restraint off gaming fan sites. Plus I see plenty of people all the time talking about waiting untill next year on this very site. Most posts are half super critical and half fanboy.

It really isn't the end of the world and I think they will get their games there eventually. However its things like this that kept me with Sony. Now I'm thinking of a second console down the line, and the Wii U sounds like the 2nd go to console for me. Between those 2 you'll get the most games and exclusives and graphics. Or upgrade my PC if its really THAT cheap to get my machine past consoles by then (gonna have to replace mobo so pretty much everything).

I honestly would hope BOTH machines are capable of more than this, not just PS4. Think there might be more going on with adapting their engine. Just a thought.
