What I meant with that is that Gears made it more popular.
I don't know man, Max Payne 3 has amazing gunplay. Not saying Gears doesn't, but MP3 is currently top dog in my opinion.
I'm with you on the cover mechanics though. After all, Gears is the game that started the trend.

I doubt it'll look that washed out. It's the screengrabs, PS4 and Xbone captures look horribly washed out everywhere.

The thing is, it can be an action TPS. You can go guns blazing. It's been that way ever since MGS on PS1.

What I read from the "too soon to announce anything else for PC" is that they'll possibly be working on more Ultimate Editions in the future.
I wouldn't mind seeing 4 come to PC, too. I understand that if it does, it'll take it's time, much like the original did.

I honestly hope the rest of the Gears of War games get remade and make their way to PC. Judging by the way Gears Ultimate PC was announced @ E3, there's more in the making.
Gears 2 was my favorite of them all.
Can't wait for this on PC. Not only for Gears itself, but DX12 also.
A satisfying conclusion to the trilogy, not something as open ended like the conclusion we got with the Knightfall Protocol, which reveals more questions than it answers. I kind of hate Rocksteady for it a little bit.
And it was difficult. You had to be careful.
Can't really compare the results, but DX12 seems to utilize GPU better. There's a slight problem, I experience a hitch od 3 during the benchmark in DX12.

Mantle isn't any better in GPU limited scenarios, but when you're CPU limited.. Oh boy, the performance difference is astounding.
This for action thrills, MGS5 for sneaky-sneaky and story.
I hope this turns out a success. There aren't a lot of good open world car games. Especially the likes of this.
