Why not enable gamers to switch on the fly by putting an option to select either 720p60 or 1080p30 in the settings menu?
We know already. I'll still play it because:
-It's Forza
-It's on PC
-It's running on DX12
-It's free to play
Basically, since it's free, there's literally no reason for anyone not to play it.
@GeraltOfRevia
The problem with the PC engine is that it doesn't do draw calls all that well. Now that they've somewhat fixed the memory allocation problems the only big thing is that the GPU is seriously underutilized while going around the city. It all points to draw call issues, or un-optimized CPU code if you will. Perhaps DX12 could alleviate the issue, but knowing how poorly implemented it currently is in games, I doubt that would do the job even if they went ...
If it's more than just the average remaster and if by any chance it's coming to PC as well, I hope to hell they are NOT using the Arkham Knight engine (although it's just the same altered UE3 version) - at least without seriously fixing it beforehand.
I finished all Arkham games multiple times (except Knight for obvious reasons) and I still have a couple runs in me, especially if they update them to meet modern standards (minus the broken PC version, because so...
That's why it's going to be a woeful remaster. They can't have it steal the thunder of infinite warfare.
Could be good if made more usable. I like the 1980s aesthetic.
Nice job AMD.
PS2 says hi.
You can get Arkham Asylum, City and Origins for approx 4$ total on PC.
Come on, it's not that difficult..
The only disappointing aspect of Dark Souls 3 is the fact that it's waaaaaaaay too short. But it may be because I've been spoiled by The Witcher 3 and MGS5. The game is excellent in every other aspect, although the bosses aren't that hard, TBH.
No and it never will have one. Games should be what they were meant to be, not every game needs to appease every person. Games that try to do that end up being mediocre at best.
How hard can it be to take the PC version, update it a little bit and then scale it properly to next-gen consoles? The Arkham games aren't really known for their high system requirements.
Also, if this isn't just a resolution and framerate bump, why no PC version? Arkham Asylum is excellent, but it's in dire need of a graphics upgrade. I mean, the goons you fight are visibly only half made, with the other side of the body mirrored.
It's an excellent game and would be even better if there weren't so many god damn cutscenes (unskippable for the most part). More shootey shootey, less watchey next time!
GTX 970 here, no issues whatsoever.
I'm a Gears fan and all I have to say about this is that it looks significantly worse than I thought it would.
I'm really glad for them. Codemasters racers will only get better now!
David Jaffe always wanted God of War to go Nordic after killing off Greek mythology. Can't remember if he specifically said Kratos going to Nordic mythology or just God of War, but it's an idea as old as God of War 1.
This is horribly written.
Crysis 3 is relevant when buying a new CPU. "Can it run "Welcome to the Jungle" with 99% GPU usage?" should become a proverb.
