Whether it is worth the money comes down to the belief of the person buying it. Not the author of some article or a group of moron fanboys.

Personally I think that someone who wants an Xbox 360 S should wait a bit longer. I believe that we're going to see a price drop on it later in the year once the current stock of Elite's is gone. I think a price drop will coincide with the launch of a bundle that includes Kinect.

Thanks.

But I'm confused, because that's not how reality works. You can't shift the timeline because you don't agree with it. Had both consoles launched on the same day AND the PS3 and 360 sold exactly the way they have since their respective launches then the PS3 would have a larger install base.

But that's not how it happened, and there's no way to know how things would have played out if they had launched at the same time. For all...

Well, all of those lists that people like to make about why the 360 is so much more expensive than PS3 lost the $100 OMG YOU MUST BUY IT wireless adapter and the OMG YOU CAN'T LIVE WITHOUT IT $120 hard drive upgrade.

In the twisted mind of a salivating fanboy does that equate to a $220 price drop? I'm not sure how irrational justification works.

"Only xbox loyalists claim that ps3 has been 3rd place for ages. in reality, ps3 is 2nd place and about to dethrone will. xbox 360 is unsurprising third for a long time."

Please explain.

Sony didn't make a mistake by releasing a year later. The only people this matters to are the ones who like to make lists.

It's sad that so many people have made themselves slaves to reviewers. They rely on video game websites and Metacritic to tell them what they should and shouldn't buy. And they miss out on so much pure and simple fun.

Some of the most fun games I've ever played scored in the 70% range. They didn't have slick production values or cutting edge graphics. They were just fun.

Don't let yourselves become jaded by reviewers. Don't feel intim...

I don't expect people who haven't actually played the game to understand. And I feel sorry for them if they've let themselves become slaves to reviewers, because that just means that they can't decide for themselves what they like.

I don't understand the mentality of folks like Why o why above me. For a game like this one I'm glad they didn't mess around with the gameplay formula. I'm glad they didn't waste time on additional eye candy that...

I completely ignored the reviews and I've been enjoying the heck out of Crackdown 2 since UPS delivered my copy yesterday.

It isn't a mind-blowing experience, but it doesn't try to be. It also doesn't seem to take itself too seriously. To me it seems to do exactly what it was designed to do and that's offer nothing but mindless mayhem. I'm probably one of the few that sees putting a story in the backseat as a positive of this game. Tossing grenades and...

The fact that people jumped hard on a 60% off sale does not show that gamers are struggling to buy games.

I'm not struggling to buy games, but when I had an opportunity to pick up Crackdown 2 at 60% off I jumped on it. Getting a good deal on something you were going to buy anyway is a sign of making a good financial decision.

This one comes down to a case of he-said, she-said. Not saying Zack is lying, not by any stretch of the imagination. But this article isn't proof that Microsoft is lying, either.

I do find it weird that Zack would make a point to say that "the warranty sticker is still intact and the opening points on the console are undamaged" unless he saw the console in some state of dis-assembly prior to sending it to Microsoft. The warranty sticker is an easy one to see bec...

Yes it is, my friend. Better to just put on the asbestos tuxedo and stay out of the way in a thread like this one.

What's going on with DirectX and OpenGL is completely different from what's going on with Flash and HTML 5. Totally apples and oranges.

Doubt if you will, but many of the larger and more visited websites are shying away from having their most important content be Flash-based. The only real use these days is these silly Flash-based web games. I see flash getting some serious competition from client-side Javascript for web UI.

The writing is on the wa...

I believe that in 3 years every new HDTV sold will be capable of displaying 3D images, but I don't believe for a second that every home will have one.

As far as 3D goes the technology needs something really compelling to push it. Something that's not a gimmick that showcases depth of field and how that can enhance experience rather than the standard flaming balls flying at your face shtick.

I spent so much time playing NBA Jam on my SNES! Hours per day, no joke. I really hope this game is good, because I've come down with a huge case of nostalgia over this one. I'll be waiting with my 50 bucks in hand.

For some reason people are trying to turn this game into a coffin nail for the 360. But it's not a bad game. It isn't the best game I've ever played, but it certainly isn't the worst. If I were a reviewer I would place it somewhere in the 7 to 8 out of 10 range.

What's sad though is the idiots who think anything below a 9 is terrible. It's sad because those people miss out on so many great gaming experiences because they listen to other people and don&...

I got my copy this afternoon and I've put a couple of hours into it. It's not a bad game by any stretch of the imagination. Well worth the $25 I paid Dell for it.

Xbox 720 and Wii 2? I don't know why, but when I see people use those as the names of the next consoles from Microsoft and Nintendo my skin just crawls. Where the heck does the 720 come from? 360 x 2? Why do people think that? That isn't how the name 360 was derived. For some reason it's like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.

I expect to see Microsoft and Nintendo release new hardware before Sony because they pretty much have to. But Sony won't be far behind....
