Do some people have nothing better to do than to complain about everything? Nobody here has played this game. You've only seen a couple of pictures. You've seen no real gameplay. But you insist that Capcom has ruined the franchise. Pitiful.
Mine just got the RROD. This is my first one, manufactured in February of 2006. I've noticed it taking longer to start up lately and then when I downloaded the update it failed upon reboot. I called Microsoft and the box is on its way.
Oh well. At least there's still the PS3 and Wii to keep me going. I can make it for 3-4 weeks.
Chances are that even if you had in-game XMB you wouldn't be able to change game settings without a reboot. Are people not smart enough to change the settings before starting the game?
If people want it that's fine. But since the things people say they wan't currently aren't available in-game, giving access to the XMB isn't necessarily going to make it happen. Maybe instead of complaining that Sony isn't listening, perhaps people should be more clear in telling Sony exactly wha...
I loved the Dreamcast. It had the power of the Sega arcade ports, which is why I wanted it to begin with. I still play mine quite often.
But I don't think I want to see another one. It can stay in the past.
Don't assume they're lazy because there are problems with a game. I've never played a video game that was completely bug-free. No software this complex is bug-free.
And people acting like this one is unplayable is just ridiculous. Internet hate machine is in full swing again I see.
I've debugged lots of code without decent development tools. There's more than one way to debug than stepping through code in an IDE.
It is a poor craftsman who blames his tools.
I've been playing the heck out of the PS3 version since the day it was released and I haven't had a freeze yet. Firmware 2.01 with the news ticker turned off all along. Something tells me that isn't the problem, anyway.
When are people first noticing the freezes?
Not to mention that posting those lists is stupid. Just saying.
You might want to provide some links to the titles in this laundry list. Because I'm pretty sure that there are several that you pulled right out of thin air on there. Uncharted 2? The first one was shown at E3 2006. There's no way there's going to be another one in 2008.
It would be nice if Sony actually listened to the gamers. But everyone knows the real reason why rumble wasn't there to begin with. All of that "not a feature our customers want" nonsense was just another smokescreen to cover them due to the lawsuit with Immersion.
Seeing how much rumble had to cost them as a result of settling their lawsuit I'm glad to see that they are making use of it.
The 360 controller does have a visual warning that is very noticeable. And hitting the guide button at any time shows you the battery charge. Only an utter moron wouldn't know that their 360 controller's battery is about to die.
The D-pad on the 360 is just a bit undersized. Makes it too easy to fat-finger the thing when you don't mean to. Another centimeter in the radius would have made all the difference in the world.
Sorry to say, but compared to the Dualshock 2, the Sixaxis does feel flimsy and cheap. Weight doesn't mean better quality, but it does make a huge tactile difference.
Well, Sony didn't get 2.00 right. And now MS didn't get the fall update right. They both get the big WTF this time around.
It's funny how Crytek says that it can't be done on current consoles. I don't believe them. I'm thinking that was just a marketing ploy. From what I've seen of the PS3 and 360 there are games on par with what I've seen from Crysis.
Too bad that neither format is selling all that well in the home video market. Even top sellers are dwarfed by their counterparts on DVD. That's what makes these pathetic flamewars so funny. Both formats are selling like peanuts, but Joe Consumer is fooled by statistics.
This would be a lot more effective if it weren't an online petition and if people actually knew what happened instead of responding to rumor and speculation. The people involved aren't talking, so all of the information available is coming from the blogosphere. And we all know how accurate that is.
But since when does the internet hate machine need fact?
Release week is over for Rock Band, Mass Effect, Ratchet & Clank and Uncharted. Can we move on from those, too?
I say we boycott online petitions.
Guitar Hero 3 for Wii is rare? Could have fooled me.
