Don't you mean Toshiba?
The 360 was never advertised as a movie player when it was made capable of 1080p. If it was, I would like for you to provide a link to said advertising. The HD-DVD addon was just that, an add-on. Microsoft never made the system out to be a movie player, and some people do play games in 1080p.
Does this mean that The Matrix movies will be coming to Blu-ray? Because that would be sweet!
A few days of connectivity issues doesn't make Live inferior to PSN. Live is a great premium service. PSN is a good free service. There's not much more to it than that.
I feel sorry for the people that only have one console. Is that what forces them to be fanboys? Or are they fanboys just because they like being stupid on the internet?
I need to finish the first one, but Assassin's Creed is taking up all of my gaming time.
Good thing I have a PS3 then.
The Wavebird is a great controller. Eats batteries too fast, but still great.
That's because nobody has a PC that can run the game at full spec. The current generation of consoles can probably do an excellent job with the game. My opinion of that "not possible on consoles" line is that it was it was pure marketing spin.
My PS3 is the best movie player I've ever had. Bar none.

I've only ever played against one girl on XBL. And she soundly kicked my butt on DOA4. She was everyone's hero for embarrassing the snot out of this racist kid to the point where he just left the game.
Which company likes for you to mod your system? Do you consider swapping the hard drive a mod? If that's the case then Microsoft does, too. You can swap hard drives all day long, you just have to use the ones that Microsoft sells.
So do you run Linux on your PS3? Do you know of anyone that still does? I doubt it. I am glad that Sony allows the option. But they aren't as open with their technology as you're trying to make it sound considering Sony doesn't allow full access to the PS3's hardware. And homebrew on the PSP will brick it in a heartbeat.
It is still better than Microsoft charging $180 for a $60 hard drive upgrade. I know that accessories are where they make money, but that's just ridiculous. Mi...
I wouldn't mind having one of those.
Poking Nasim, er, TANOD with a stick only serves to stir him up. Best to just leave him alone.
I talk about the cheap Sony drive problems with the PS1 and PS2 all the time. But people seem to easily forget the Sony blunders of the past.
I hope these kids enjoy their new 360.
It isn't news. And it isn't in the news category. It is a video. And it's in the video category. So why are you complaining?
Only 140,000 behind for December. Sadly, the PS3 has been behind the Wii and 360 for pretty much the entire year. There have been a few weeks sprinkled in where the PS3 outsold the 360, like the European launch week and the price drop weeks. But other than those the PS3 has pretty consistently been last in sales.
I hope the trend turns around, because I really like my PS3. I want to continue to see great games.
Were you sad to see that they're going for what they've been going for for the last several months?
