That is hard to believe, but Nintendo IS a really big company. I always figured they were about the same size. Silly me I guess. Either way, a merger would be more likely than an acquisition and I don't think that will ever happen either.
@Val
And your solution is for Sony to practically bankrupt themselves by buying Nintendo? Sony just DOWNSIZED, I don't think they can afford such a large acquisition right now.
Well THAT'S your problem. Evisceration doesn't work. Try your hand at poison.
I really like platformers, RPGs, some shooters, etc. I am willing to play almost any game at least once. Vita's library will hopefully support all the PSOne Classics legitimately soon, and I really want Gravity Rush and Tearaway.
Very much agreed! Much appreciation for this blog. Legends of Persia is a game I had never even heard of before, but now I'm gonna keep an eye out for it.
Captain Obvious is cooler than Captain Killjoy.
It has to be trolling. Nintendo and Sony don't want to buy each other, and I honestly don't think they could. He just wants Nintendo games on Sony platforms and that's not happening within our lifetimes.
Maybe perception is the issue. I mean when they unveiled Cult County there was no engine footage, just concept art. I think that hurt them a little, but overall people just don't seem to know about this game or they just don't care and that's a real shame.
It doesn't confirm ANYTHING like that. It just means that data can be shared between versions.
@Miles
That's a little unfair. The console versions also get a lot of the same updates, albeit at a slower pace. Mods are unofficial and kind of a given for PC, so it's a little bit unfair to count those against console games.
You never know! That may still come somewhere down the line. I'm honestly surprised they didn't announce that or another Quake.
I personally like the stuff they do. Their motion capture technology is quite impressive and I like the stories they tell. Can't fault them for making their games so cinematic. It's like an interactive movie, kind of like Telltale's games, but more linear.
Well, they have to be working on SOMETHING. It's not like Sony would just let them diddle about and do nothing. That'd be a huge waste of money and resources.
Man oh man I hope we get a PS4 trailer for Last Guardian. I need my ICO trilogy to be completed. :(
@Foxtrot
Isn't Heavenly Sword just a God of War clone from the same guys who made that lame DmC game? Honestly I'd rather get the new God of War.
@Geekman
I don't think he's mental, but I do believe he is misreading the market a little bit. I think a lot of the hype will be driven toward the Wii U version as oppose to the 3DS version because of the holiday slam. Think about it. If Nintendo advertises Smash the way they are advertising Mario Kart and combine it with a $50 price cut for the console? Bam. Instant success. There is no way anyone would deny themselves a deal like that.
That's just it though. Keiji Inafune made 4 MILLION DOLLARS for Mighty No. 9. Why the heck would another well known dev make barely a fraction of their goal which was MUCH smaller than that?
I was mostly drawn in because I thought the little girl was really cute. So now I'm all for trying it out. :)
There's some really good art on Miiverse though.
Yeah, couldn't find one in my local one. Must have sold them all out quickly. Or maybe they never had them to begin with. :(
