Smash isn't a fighter in the conventional sense, I think. It has jumping and simple fighting mechanics, so it's kind of like an action/platformer/fighting hybrid with an emphasis on battling other characters. Hope that helps ease your concerns about it. :)
I can actually concede to how high quality the XB1 headset chat is. It's really good especially when you use Skype. I can't properly compare it to PS4 since I haven't tried chat on that system yet.
Exciting indeed! I'm curious as to what other goodies PS4 will be getting in particular since that version is supposed to get the most additional content.
Really nice of them to make it so open. I really can't wait to try it! If I can get a PS4 before year's end I'll play it there. If not then I'll play it on PS3.
E3's around the corner. Give it time. ;)
What I think avengers means is that if the dev wants to put the time into utilizing such a tool it should be up to them. Which I can understand. Some devs may not want to focus on features like that.
Photo mode pauses the entire world so you can move the camera, right? So the pause button probably wouldn't be such a bad method to use it.
I see what everyone is saying, and sadly they did not build the OS to support such a mode. Hopefully Sony will one day supply tools to easily do a photo/theater mode in later consoles. :)
That seems like the best idea. In photo mode you technically are pausing the game. Come to think of it, why not just have a full blown theater mode like the Halo games so you can have clips and screenshots in any given game?
Let's get a bunch of people to tweet that to Yoshida. :D
Was very surprised to find out this was from Ubisoft. I honestly believe it was an indie game at first. Ubisoft did a good job with the art style.
Oddworld games are generally self-published now. Those guys are making a full blown HD remake of the first game and they don't have any publishers under their belt anymore. What kind of game does that count as, AAA or indie?
Not entirely true. there's been a lot of success from self-publishing. Sony is paving the way for that and Nintendo's following close by. Steam Greenlight would have been the pioneer if not for how wonky the system worked.
When Sony has over 100 developers making games for their systems, all being AAA, indie or otherwise, you should NEVER count them out. That is a fact.
This comment is pretty much right on the money. Nintendo approached DLC carefully and very fairly, whereas other developers abused it big time. It's just a shame that people seem to want to lump Nintendo in with the likes of Capcom and EA when it comes to DLC despite what a good job they're doing.
They found a way to make a slimmer version of the PS3 slim. Sony's pretty good at that. All of my Sony consoles happen to slim or smaller models, including my PSOne, so it would be cool to have a PS4 slim to complete the set. :)
The order is 64, Melee, Brawl, 3DS and then Wii U.
Only if it turns out it works as well as they say it would.
There are some great gems on that system. Ever try out Mischief Makers or Jet Force Gemini? Fantastic games that people don't often talk about and they were both 64 exclusive as far as I know.
With hope they're remaking some of the 64 levels in this one and not just Brawl and/or Melee.
