Sonic Team are just butchering Sonic upon every turn by believing that Sonic cannot sell himself and needs a completely insane new trait or theme to go along with it.
I'd love to see Sonic go digital so they could produce Sonic games like the originals and release them on XBLA, PSN and Wiiware. I'd also like to see the original Sonic's go HD! I clearly want too much but given the past 10 years of Sonics I think it isn't too much.
For me, this is where my gaming days began. I remember afternoons after school wasted on so many of its great titles.
Can't say I ever played Chromehounds. Shame that so few MMO's flounder due to the extraordinary success of games like World of Warcraft.
Heard decent things about Touch Master but do we need another Game Party? I imagine the Wii is suffocated enough by these sorts of titles.
I wouldn't call MW2's prestige edition very impressive. I think it's more gimmicky if anything. I think when the special edition costs many times more than the game alone then it becomes more of gimmicky addition.
Despite it being a expansion, I think Bungie have put a lot of work and care into making ODST a newish experience. The Lost & Damned content added around 7-10 hours of new content but it was the same world with new missions.
ODST has a whole new world, I'm not saying it validates a $60 but I think it that plus firefight would explain why they chose to go retail rather than digital distribution.
I dunno, doesn't Halo have a lot of back history to it? Seems like a little too much to just drop into.
I think if you shop around online you'll find it cheaper. That aside I think ODST will be worth the price tag. The campaign looks fun and will no doubt encourage multiple play throughs then there's Firefight to be going with.
I guess since I dont own Halo 3, having the whole multiplayer game on a disc will be useful too.
I agree the story isn't that engaging but I think or atleast I hope ODST will be different. For a standalone expansion I think it looks far better than the other games.
I'm pretty excied for Firefight. Gears 2 had a great horde mode and this looks set to top it.
Far Cry 2 vibe? I don't think so, or atleast I hope not. Getting around in Far Cry 2 was tedious to start with and that pretty much made up 80% of the gameplay in FC2.
I'm pretty excited for odst. I'm not a big fan of the series but this one seems much darker.
Well right now I'd say the only title to work well with motion control has been Metroid Prime 3 on the Wii, but thats a whole different league.
Nice to see some work go into these Arcade releases. I can't stand devs who just shoehorn stuff onto the Arcade without any alterations or care.
Completely understand, I do agree that the Wii is a great system for downloading retro titles, I just wish they added more N64 releases via the Virtual Console as we tend to only get one every couple of months.
It actually works pretty damn well. There's a lot of recalibration involved which is hopefully something Sony's Motion Tech will be void of, but otherwise its a pretty solid accessory.

1)As far as I'm aware, Wii sports Resort isn't out anywhere outside of Japan until later this month so to say you nearly bought this the other day can't be true unless you were refering to the Motion Plus accessory and if so I apologise.
2) If you don't like the Wii because of motion control then why did you buy one? You must have known motion control was a big part of the Wii before you bought one?

If Nintendo market this the same way they have done with their other products then there's no reason why it shouldn't be a success for them. Given there is no physical benefit such as weight loss, it's out in time for Summer and parents will buy this just to keep their kids entertained. It should really come with two Motion Plus accessories though.
It might be enough of a classic to be sequel worthy. The ending leaves the story very open.
