The title is a little misleading. He never says it like that. People need to read articles.
Its a totally different market. Thats why you dont see gaming sites(ign, 1up, etc) covering a lot of wii. Thats why the hardcore gamers don't talk a lot of wii. Thats why the only games you see that sells well on wii are nintendo games only. Sure, microsoft and sony are trying to capture a little of the casual market, just because nintendo is making lot of money. But the ps3 and 360 gamer in general are very different from the wii gamer (if that even exist).
I think ps3 and 360 are doing fine in Europe and NA. But in Japan both systems are doing terrible. Yes, 360 is selling better than the original xbox and you could be a little impressed but that doesn't mean they are doing great. And ps3 is doing just as bad as the 360. Gaming in Japan is changing, at least this generation. Companies are doing big names games to psp, ds, mobile and wii. That means less people buying the next generation systems.
This is the game im waiting. Just show it already!. I hope they show gameplay in the trailer.
To me it depends on the tv you have. My hdtv is almost 4 years old and when I watch a blu ray, I dont see much difference from my upscaled dvd.
I don't think Sony needs this. The service blockbuster will provide is different from netflix. Blockbuster service is the same ps3 and 360 has offering for a while. Is a pay per movie service. Its not unlimited. Now, if Sony manage to make a deal with them that offers unlimited service for a fixed price that includes new releases, that would be awesome.

I agree somewhat with homicide. Is not that the machine and the games are a failure. Is how sony has managed (businesswise) the system. Is true they loose exclusives to ms and they didnt do anything to counter ms giving money to publishers. Also they have delayed a lot of things like home, games, and things psn overall. But what the hell. All games are exlusive to me cause I have both systems.
