my launch day premium is still going strong! and believe me, that console has had a hard tour of duty! more all day all weekend sessions(was living on my own then and had no girl limiting my play time!) than i can remember! infact, no console i've ever owned has seen as much action as that war-horse..lol
my elite has seen more than a few 14 hour sessions, and had a 12 hour mass effect marathon saturday! some are lucky, some aren't i guess.

where the 360 competes with the ps3 more than adequately! that's why they haven't dropped the price yet. people seem to forget the fact that the ps3 is not the be all and end all there.
even with the release of mgs, the game that the fanboys on here were claiming would destroy the 360, the ps3 only managed to beat the 360 by a paltry 20k in may...it mite even beat it by 50k in june!
but either way, those figures alone aren't gonna help sony eat into the 5mil the...
i'm thinking that perhaps a launch title for the next xbox. if microsoft could release a new machine complete with halo4 and gears3 as launch titles.....them machines would just fly off the shelves.

although, sony have had a cracking june in japan. they normally barely hit a pi55poor 50k, getting that means they've done extremely well.
but compared to the mighty ps2 or wii, it's pretty bad which ever way you try and turn it!
unlike games on the 360, they have no obligation to put trophies in their games, but not just that, why bother when wasting resources for a game that's already 7 months old. and again waste resources when you have bigger and better things in development???
to think that devs and publishers are just gonna say.

anyway. you exaggerated with something else my friend. sony last week came out and said that the ps3 is at 12.5mil units sold. and a couple of months ago the 360 was at 19mil units sold. so going by them figures, the ps3 is roughly 7mil units behind the 360.
not that i care, but i know people on here love figures, so it's best to try and give them something accurste me thinks.
