@plut0nash Or people who can easily get the game from a friend who works at a video game store, or a store that sells copies early. It isn't hard.
This. It doesn't hurt to try putting it on Ultra. If it works, then perfect.
Sadly the game is poorly optimized requiring 6GB of VRAM. The only cards that have 6GB of VRAM is the 780 TI and the Titan. But I am glad I ordered a 970 after seeing these settings and its performance.
It doesn't have an appealing aspect to the game. It just seems like Dead Rising with aliens, and power ups, but is there actually a good story, underneath the gameplay?
The small part changes for different versions of the same system that Sony does is to reduce the manufacturing price for themselves.
The reviewers were biased and judging the entire game from one section of the game.
Yeah, the game isn't optimized. Even the newest cards which are beasts don't even have 6GB of VRAM. It's either poor optimization since developers are lazy, or it was a poor from consoles to PC. At the end of the day, the visuals will still be better on PC.
6GB of VRAM is needed for Ultra, which has better visuals then PS4 and Xbone. But it it's easy as hell to run the game on high, which will be almost identical to PS4, or have slightly better visuals, since PC have more setting to adjust when it comes to graphics. You're trying to make it sound like everyone needs to upgrade their PC on a yearly basis, which is incorrect. Plus the new GTX 970 which can run 99% of current games on Ultra at 60fps+ for $330, which is basically 5 console g...
Giving freedom to developers is an important part of developing a unique and good game without being constrained. I feel thats how Sony is handling The Last Guardian, until the developers feel good with the product they'll show it off, Sony wouldn't pressure them, since it would just screw with the development process of the game and others.
It's sad to see Sony creating video games that will speak to a wide democratic and not branch off with their Japanese studios to do something that will not only appeal to the Western audience.
@fr0sty You are damn embarrassing. You don't even own a computer, or a gaming one, since those excuses you created are complete bs.
"Because the AMD card you bought doesn't run the game you like optimally due to a partnership between Nvidia and that developer."
There aren't partnerships that worsen the optimization for AMD, or NVIDIA. Partnerships usually add a new feature into the game. Stop spouting bs.
"Scanning for viruses....
Get gud m8
I am fine with Square Enix trying something new with a hack and slash, but to even dumb it down to one button and make it simple as that is a terrible decision. At least add some variety, then one button. This might actually turn into hold X to win.
- The weapon system in the game is treated like a deck. You set weapons on the deck in the menu, and during combat the most appropriate weapon in the deck will be used based on the situation.
- The evasion in the game is executed by "defensive movement" which is a stance the player goes into when holding down the defense button. This allows the player to move around defensively avoiding attacks.
These two points annoy the living hell out of me. I&...
He is solely talking about the PS4. PS+ is worth it if you have a PS3 and a Vita, but not so much on the PS4, but can you really complain? It's a god damn new console, it won't be crapping out AAA games right away for free, and don't forget Xdrones that you were paying for online services without receiving any benefit, until a few months ago when Microsoft decided to copy Sony's PS+ which is even worse.

Agreed. Hoping that they add some AA that will remove some of those jaggies from the car. There were some jaggies during the 8 minute video on the not so distant buildings, but it didn't really bother me. Other then that, the game is looking amazing.
People don't understand that certain parts of development are slower and other faster. For all we know the last 10-20% can be polishing, which doesn't even take that long. But we don't know what they are currently doing, I would give them some slack because they are actually still developing the game.
@Crazysapertonight The clothing is more sharp, and the rock textures are also sharper and have a better texture. I'm not going to list all the differences.
